Job Description
Company Overview
team.blue is an ecosystem of 60+ successful brands working together across 22 European countries to provide its 3.3 million SMB customers with everything they need to succeed online by offering best-in-class expertise and services.
team.blue's brands are a mix of traditional hosting businesses that offer services from domain names, email, shared hosting, e-commerce, and server hosting solutions and, as specialist SaaS providers, adjacent products such as compliance, marketing tools, and team collaboration products. This broad product offering makes it a one-stop partner for online businesses and entrepreneurs across Europe.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a Product Owner that will be working closely with Business Stakeholders, IT, and delivery teams. The Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the value delivered by the product, balancing the demands of Business-As-Usual (BAU) support with the delivery of new enhancements and strategic projects. You will own and prioritize the product backlog, review and assess incoming enhancement requests, and act as the primary point of contact between the business and delivery teams, ensuring that what gets built is well-defined, well-prioritized, and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and continuously groom the product backlog, translating business needs into clear, well-structured user stories, epics, and requirements for both enhancements and BAU items.
- Review, assess, and prioritize incoming enhancement requests, balancing business value, effort, urgency, and dependencies against ongoing BAU demands and strategic project commitments.
- Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders regarding enhancement status, BAU ticket resolution, and overall product roadmap.
- Define and maintain a clear prioritization framework to consistently triage and rank enhancements, defects, and BAU requests.
- Partner with Business Analysts, developers, and NS specialists to ensure requirements are well understood, acceptance criteria are clear, and delivered functionality meets business intent.
- Plan and manage delivery using the most appropriate methodology for the initiative, applying Agile practices (sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives) for iterative enhancement work and Waterfall/structured project management (scoping, planning, milestones, RAID logs) for larger, fixed-scope projects.
- Lead sprint or release planning sessions, set sprint goals, and track progress against committed scope, timelines, and budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to sequence enhancements and BAU fixes into release plans, ensuring minimal disruption to Finance and Business Users.
- Manage stakeholder expectations by communicating trade-offs, timelines, and risks clearly, and by escalating blockers or resourcing conflicts as needed.
- Monitor and report on product performance, delivery velocity, backlog health, and BAU ticket trends, using data to inform prioritization decisions.
- Own UAT planning and sign-off for enhancements and projects, ensuring business acceptance criteria are met before go-live.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation, including backlog items, release notes, prioritization rationale, and product roadmaps.
- Drive continuous improvement of product management practices, tooling (e.g. JIRA, Confluence), and ways of working across Agile and Waterfall delivery.
- Ensure alignment between the product roadmap, business strategy, and IT/architecture standards, including compliance and data governance requirements where applicable.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-5 years' experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst, ideally supporting both BAU operations and enhancement/project delivery.
- Demonstrated experience managing and prioritizing a product backlog, including triaging enhancement requests against ongoing support demands.
- Solid working knowledge of both Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall project management methodologies, with the judgment to apply the right approach to each initiative.
- Recognized certification(s) an advantage (e.g. CSPO, PMI-ACP, PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe).
- Previous experience using JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools to manage backlogs, tickets, and roadmaps.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with both technical teams and non-technical business users.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Proactive, result-oriented, and comfortable managing competing priorities under changing circumstances.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for meetings, training, or conferences.
Hybrid position - 1 office day
