Service New Brunswick (SNB) is seeking an individual with Product Owner expertise to join the Technology Services Division in the Digital Solution Services (DSS) unit. The Product Owner will lead a new Agile team being established to support a strategic approach based on a common framework for portable, verifiable, and user-controlled credentials.

Reporting to the Director of DSS, the Product Owner serves as the lead for defining user stories and prioritizing the Agile team’s backlog to streamline the execution of priorities. They act as a proxy for the business and customers within the Agile team and work closely with Product Management to extend business intent down to the execution level within the Agile Release Train (ART).
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline, along with seven (7) years of related experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in an Agile delivery environment. Subject to the response to this competition, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English is required.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate they have training or experience in one or more of the following areas:
Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: This position may require some travelling within the province therefore candidates must possess a valid New Brunswick driver’s license.
This position may require limited flexibility in working hours, with occasional weekday evening or weekend work.
Candidates will be required to undergo Criminal History Clearance prior to appointment.

Salary: $94, 146 - $113, 906 annually – Pay Band 7 - Management and Non-Union Pay Plan
