Job Description

Product Owner - Fuel Integrity Solution Marking and Testing

Role:

  • Define and maintain a clear, prioritized product backlog for Fuel Integrity Solution marking and testing capabilities, based on business goals, customer needs, field constraints, and technical dependencies.
  • Collaborate with customers, business stakeholders, field operations, product management, hardware specialists, and engineering teams to gather requirements and align priorities.
  • Write clear and actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, interface requirements, and end-to-end workflows for marking, sampling, testing, device operation, and results reporting.
  • Own the functional integration of hardware devices into software solutions, including device drivers, connectivity, configuration, calibration-related workflows, telemetry, diagnostics, and error handling.
  • Partner with software, firmware, hardware, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the delivery cycle, including refinement, planning, reviews, testing, and retrospectives.
  • Coordinate end-to-end validation in representative laboratory and field conditions, ensuring that delivered functionality meets defined success criteria, reliability expectations, security requirements, and quality standards.
  • Work with UI/UX, QA, cybersecurity, data, support, and deployment teams to provide a consistent, secure, and user-friendly experience for marking operators, inspectors, supervisors, and administrators.
  • Monitor solution performance, device-related incidents, field feedback, and operational data to identify risks, prioritize corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.

Profile:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a comparable product role within a software or technology development environment.
  • Experience with, or a strong understanding of, device drivers and the integration of hardware devices, firmware, and communication interfaces into software solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and product backlog management.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills across business, software, hardware, and field operations teams.
  • Ability to translate complex operational and technical needs into clear, testable, and intuitive product requirements.
  • Experience working with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar product delivery platforms.
  • Technical familiarity with software development, APIs, device communication protocols, diagnostics, and system integration; experience with connected instruments, industrial devices, or field equipment is a strong advantage.
  • Experience in fuel integrity, fuel marking, laboratory or field testing, analytical instruments, or regulated operational environments is an advantage.
  • Experience with Product Discovery practices is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
