Job Description

The Product Owner reports to the Director of Software Engineering and is responsible for understanding business needs and priorities at a strategic level while providing communication and coordination between the relevant business partners and development teams. Ultimately, the Product Owner is responsible for delivering each stage of development and the final product in alignment with stakeholder expectations.

Location: The successful candidate will work in a hybrid capacity between our Home Office in the Greater Seattle area, and remotely. Candidate must live within driving distance of our offices and have high-speed internet (internet speed test required).

Hiring Range: $120,361 - $135,231 *

Salary Range: $120,361 - $151,037

Responsibilities

  • Working in alignment with stakeholders, define the vision for the development team. Use that vision and tools such as product roadmaps as both a strategic guide for stakeholders as well as an execution plan.
  • Manage the product backlog based on overall strategy and business objectives. Anticipate dependencies to inform the sequence of development.
  • Prioritize needs by balancing scope, budget, and time, weighing priorities based on the needs and objectives of stakeholders.
  • Oversee the stages of development. This includes working with stakeholders to plan the next steps, working with the team to refine the process, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting the sprint.
  • Anticipate client needs. Utilize tools such as customer journey mapping to create a shared vision for the customer experience.
  • Act as the primary liaison and key communicator linking and creating alignment between stakeholders and development teams.
  • Evaluate product progress at each iteration. The product owner is accountable for each stage of the development process and the final product. Quickly adapt tools and solutions based on lessons learned.
  • Collaborate with Agile Coaches, Scrum Masters, and other Product Owners in an Agile community of practice to further Agile values in the IT Department.

Education and Experience

  • ​Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, including video conferencing.
  • Lifting of up to 15 pounds
