Job Description

OUR STORY AND HOW YOU CAN HELP CONTRIBUTE

Everything But The House (EBTH) is a revolutionary marketplace, making it easier to find or sell secondhand goods, headquartered in Cincinnati, OH. EBTH was born out of a passion for helping people via a full-service approach to consignment; revolutionizing how homeowners, estate managers, dealers and collectors connect with a world of shoppers seeking rare and wonderful things. Each day the global auction platform unleashes an ever-changing assortment of art, jewelry, fashion, collectibles, antiques and more, all with a starting bid of $1.

EBTH aspires to be the first stop for secondhand online. We stand behind our work and offer every customer the “Uncommon Promise”. If we don’t uphold our end of the bargain, we’ll do our best to make it right. We promise that everything on our platform is authenticated or validated, presented clearly and accurately, and is handled with the utmost care.

We are seeking a Product Owner to join our Engineering team to lead the definition, prioritization, and delivery of technology solutions that support business goals and improve user outcomes. This role partners closely with stakeholders, engineering teams, design, operations, and leadership to translate needs into clear product requirements, manage the product backlog, and ensure successful execution from concept through launch.

We are not providing relocation for this position and are only accepting applications for candidates who are located in the Cincinnati, OH metropolitan area.

  • Own and manage the product backlog, including feature definition, prioritization, acceptance criteria, and release readiness.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand goals, pain points, processes, and success metrics.
  • Translate business requirements into user stories, workflows, functional requirements, and delivery plans.
  • Work closely with engineering, UX, data, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable and scalable technology solutions.
  • Clarify requirements, answer team questions, and make timely product decisions throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Define and track product KPIs, adoption metrics, operational performance, and user feedback.
  • Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, user acceptance testing, and release communications.
  • Identify dependencies, risks, tradeoffs, and opportunities for process or system improvement.
  • Ensure delivered solutions meet business needs, compliance expectations, and quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary product liaison between technical teams and business users.
  • Participate heavily in QA of tickets completed by the Engineering team

  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to balance stakeholder needs, technical constraints, business value, and delivery timelines.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Miro, Figma, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner, SAFe POPM, or related Agile certification.
