Product Owner

We’re looking for a Product Owner - Sports to join our Digital Channels Product team and support the delivery and continuous improvement of Veikkaus’ betting experience across our digital platforms. The role ensures front-end efforts are aligned with Digital Channels’ overall goals and long-term product vision. You’ll translate business needs and customer insights into front-end requirements and clear backlog priorities, guiding cross-functional teams to ensure efficient execution and optimal use of capabilities. The role contributes to outcomes that improve the player experience in line with Veikkaus’ mission of responsible and sustainable gaming.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage the front-end product backlog and oversee priorities to balance short-term delivery needs with long-term objectives.
• Gather and translate complex front-end requirements into actionable epics that align with the long-term roadmap while enabling short-term delivery.
• Collaboratively document and prioritize front-end requirements aligned with business and customer goals across all touchpoints.
• Guide cross-functional collaboration to ensure delivery outcomes match business strategy.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, UX, and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of agreed high-quality outcomes.
• Ensure alignment with the long-term business roadmap and strategy while enabling short-term delivery.
• Ensure measurement of success metrics and KPIs for front-end performance.

Qualifications and experience

• 4+ years in product ownership, business analysis, or related role.
• Strong backlog management, requirements gathering, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with agile delivery practices and user experience principles.
• Experience in the iGaming industry and particularly Sports is highly valued.
• Experienced in working across digital channels, including mobile apps, mobile web, and desktop, is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Product Management, or related field.

Our headquarters are located in Helsinki, Finland but the position can be located in any Veikkaus location. We work flexibly in a hybrid model. The position is permanent and full-time.
