Purpose:

Provide leadership, operational oversight, technical support and expert knowledge of Earnix, Guidewire, related systems, software programs, and related processes being used for insurance policy administration, pricing, and product strategy. Responsible for leading the team responsible for implementing rate changes, product enhancements, and business-driven solutions with an emphasis on efficiency, quality, and effectiveness. Oversee configuration activities, operationalization efforts, prioritization, resource planning, and delivery of product changes. Partner with Product Management, Product Owner, and other stakeholders to ensure work is aligned with business objectives and organizational strategy. Provide subject matter expertise and leadership for project work involving pricing and product strategy as it relates to Earnix functionality, system configuration, and operational execution.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership & Management
• Lead, coach, develop and support Product Operations Enablement analysts
• Establish workload priorities and ensure appropriate resource allocation across initiatives.
• Manage team capacity planning, work intake, and scheduling activities.
• Develop team expertise in Earnix, Guidewire, and related systems.
• Conduct performance management, coaching, and career development activities.
• Identify staffing needs and support Strategic Workforce Planning efforts.
• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Earnix Configuration
• Provide oversight of Earnix configuration activities and related business requirements.
• Ensure rate, rule, form, and model changes are implemented accurately and efficiently.
• Review and approve configuration approaches, testing strategies, and implementation plans.
• Establish and maintain best practices for consistent, concise, and maintainable system configuration.
• Monitor execution progress and remove roadblocks impacting delivery.
• Partner with Product Management on prioritization, planning, and operationalization activities.
• Collaborate regularly with managers to report progress and roadblocks.
• Responsible for the documentation of processes and procedures.
• Technical Leadership
• Provide expert guidance on Earnix, Guidewire, data integration, and rating engine functionality.
• Support analysis of complex technical and business requirements.
• Serve as an escalation point for configuration challenges and recurring issues.
• Oversee troubleshooting and resolution of system configuration defects.
• Ensure effective testing practices, quality controls, and governance are in place for implementations.
• Participate throughout the product development life cycle and bridge the software development life cycle to ensure the requirements are satisfied, with heavy involvement in analysis, design, configuration, and testing.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and provide technical support for Earnix and application functions and documentation as defined to be used for technical and business reference.
• Develops, coordinates, and executes test plans, assuring tests are successfully completed.
• Develop methods to test business driven solutions as they related to product and pricing strategy.
• Training and Documentation
• Responsible for training associates on procedure changes and new processes.
• Responsible for process and procedures documentation.
• Responsible for any Earnix training/certifications needed for current version of solution.
• High level understanding of how Earnix and Guidewire integrate.
• Develops best practices to achieve consistent, concise, and maintainable system configuration
• Monitor, enhance, and support business-related functions using Earnix.

Skills / Knowledge / Experience:

• 5 plus years of experience in an analytical role or analyst type functions, required
• 3 plus years of experience configuring Rating Engine
• Expertise translating highly complex technical and business requirements.
• Expertise working with Earnix and Python technologies/platforms.
• Experience deciphering configuration impacts based on Earnix/Python code and how it relates within various systems.
• Expertise with web based policy administration system, user interface, integrated development environment, query tools, and rating engines.
• Expertise with capacity management and work scheduling efforts.
• Expertise with work product triage, estimation, and planning.
• Experience leading a team.
• Experience with Strategic Workforce Planning.

Education, Certifications & Designations:

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Analytical or Business Field
• Experience with Guidewire Configuration, Python, or other comparable insurance policy administration system
• Insurance Knowledge

Preferred:

• Project Management Certification
