The Information Systems team at ByteDance builds and enhances the company’s internal enterprise platforms, powering critical functions across procurement, contract, workplace services, human resources, finance, legal, and more. We own the full product lifecycle, from strategic planning and solution design to implementation, configuration, security, and continuous optimization. Our mission is to deliver secure, scalable, and user friendly internal products that improve operational efficiency, enable data driven decisions, and support ByteDance’s rapidly evolving global business.
We are seeking a Product Operations Manager to build and scale our product operations capabilities. This role serves as the bridge between Product Management, Engineering, and internal business users, driving alignment, orchestrating workflows, transforming feedback into insights, and establishing mechanisms that elevate clarity, decision making, and execution across the organization.
The role anchors on three strategic pillars:
- Voice of Customer Program: Build a structured feedback engine across multiple channels that captures user sentiment, identifies systemic issues, and channels insights directly into product decisions.
- Product Analytics & Insights: Develop instrumentation, dashboards, and reporting that provide insights into product usage, behavior, operational efficiency, and adoption trends.
- Operational Excellence: Design processes, tools, and governance models that reduce friction, scale execution, and enable product teams to move faster with confidence and alignment. This includes creating market research, training materials, partnering with stakeholders to drive product adoption, and ensuring users understand how to fully leverage new features and workflows.
Responsibilities
- Establish and scale product operations frameworks that improve clarity, execution, and decision making across Product, Engineering, and business teams.
- Build mechanisms to collect, synthesize, and operationalize user feedback, ensuring insights directly influence product priorities.
- Develop product analytics and reporting that illuminate usage patterns, user behavior, and adoption trends.
- Drive alignment across cross functional teams by coordinating workflows and managing dependencies.
- Create and maintain standardized operating models, documentation, and SOPs that support predictable delivery and reduce operational friction.
- Lead enablement efforts, including training, communication, and adoption programs to ensure users fully leverage product capabilities.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand needs, resolve issues, and provide high value operational support that improves the end to end product experience.
- Communicate product and operational updates clearly and consistently to leadership and partners, ensuring the right information flows to the right audiences at the right time.
- Champion automation, tooling, and scalable processes that reduce manual effort and enhance organizational efficiency.
