Job Description

About BT

BT Group is the UK’s leading communications group and the holding company behind some of the country’s most recognised brands – including BT, EE, Openreach and Plusnet. Our purpose is as simple as it is ambitious: we connect for good. Our customers include consumers, small, medium and large businesses, public sector organisations and other communications providers.

BT Group’s role is about setting direction, unlocking value and creating the conditions for our brands and businesses to thrive.

Having come through the most capital-intensive phase of our fibre investment, our focus now is on what comes next – simplifying how we operate, using technology and AI to work smarter, and organising ourselves to serve customers better and grow sustainably. Group teams shape strategy, policy, brand, capital allocation and transformation, helping the whole organisation perform at its best.

We have a singular culture that unites all our people: we are customer-first challengers, who are committed, clear and connected. These behaviours unite us as one team to deliver for our colleagues, our customers, our stakeholders and the country. Joining BT Group means working at the heart of a business that matters to the UK, with the opportunity to shape decisions, influence outcomes and help set the future course of one of the country’s most important companies.

About the role

The Product Migrations Specialist plays a critical role in accelerating BT International’s transition from legacy services to strategic, next-generation products. By understanding each customer’s existing service landscape and helping to shape a clear migration path, the role enables customers to move with confidence while protecting service continuity, commercial value and customer experience. Working across Sales, Product, Commercial, Design, Delivery and Service, the specialist helps remove barriers, maintain migration momentum and turn complex transitions into a structured, repeatable activity. This role directly supports portfolio simplification, platform adoption, revenue protection and growth, improved unit economics, and the timely retirement of legacy products.

  • Own and maintain end-to-end product migration plans for assigned customer accounts, covering discovery, qualification, prioritisation, sequencing, execution and handover.
  • Analyse customer service inventories, requirements and dependencies, and coordinate the mapping of legacy products and use cases to agreed strategic target solutions.
  • Coordinate Sales, Product, Commercial, Design, Delivery and Service stakeholders to confirm technical feasibility, commercial viability, customer readiness and delivery capacity.
  • Establish clear migration scope, milestones, owners, decision points and acceptance criteria, ensuring accountabilities are understood across all contributing teams.
  • Drive timely completion of migration actions, proactively resolving barriers and escalating risks, dependencies, resource constraints and decisions that threaten customer outcomes or delivery dates.
  • Support customer and account-team engagement by preparing migration options, sequencing recommendations, readiness requirements and clear progress updates.
  • Maintain accurate migration records, governance artefacts, forecasts and supporting documentation, ensuring a controlled transition into delivery and business-as-usual service management.
  • Capture lessons learned and improve repeatable migration methods, templates and controls to increase delivery pace, consistency and customer experience.
