In this role you will have a particular focus on MiSight® 1 day – our contact lens that helps slow down the progression of myopia/near-sightedness in children.

You will be responsible for supporting the management of products across the CooperVision brand portfolio. You will develop plans as well as growth initiatives, to drive revenue and operating income goals for assigned brands. Working cross-functionally and closely with your Nordic colleagues as well as regional and global teams, you will turn insights into action and bring brands to life across channels. Essential Functions & Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of strategic and operational off- and online marketing activities to assure delivery of brand sales and share targets, while aligning brand portfolio with strategic vision.

  • Responsible for the brand planning process incorporating regional/global guidelines and strategy. Recommends proactively throughout year to change plan based on analysis of performance and insights from category, customers, consumers and competition.

  • Lead development and execution of annual brand budget (A&P). Set metrics for spending and continuously track to ensure effectiveness of spend and delivery of operating income target.

  • Develop and activate brand consumer positioning for Nordic market in conjunction with EMEA counterparts. Ensure appropriate research and insights are developed to support positioning.

  • Identify and leverage insight to activate assigned brand(s) and drive share as well as to enhance brand awareness, relevant differentiation, value and accessibility

  • Ensure all relevant Brand Management processes (budgeting, forecasting, planning, product launches, input into monthly report to Finance/BPA) are completed on a timely basis.

Travel Requirements

  • Commercial travel requirements at approx. 10%

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proactive, creative and customer-oriented team player with commercial awareness/business acumen

  • Ability to plan, organize and establish priorities at both strategic and operational levels, to meet goals and achieve results

  • Good verbal, written and visual (presentation) communication skills

  • Good analytical and project management abilities

  • Ability to contribute to a team and influence others at all levels of the organization

  • Good budget planning and management

  • Fluency in Swedish and English


Experience and Education

  • Essential minimum of five year’s experience in marketing

  • Strong understanding of business processes

  • Experience of working with international teams strongly preferred

  • Optical industry experience is desirable, but not mandatory

  • Experience of collaborating with other commercial functions

  • Ability of managing third party agencies

  • Experience of monitoring and reviewing financials vs. budgets.

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing or other fields of Business Administration (MBA preferred)
