Job Description
Who we are
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team
Our Product Marketing team’s mission is to generate customer insights that inform Stripe’s product strategy, and lead go-to-market for our suite of products. Product Marketing is a highly cross-functional role at Stripe, partnering closely with Product and Engineering, Sales, Partnerships, Demand Generation and Campaigns to name a few. Different from many other Product Marketing teams, our team works across the entire product lifecycle, from helping shape the product, to driving launch and commercialization, to growing product adoption post-launch. We also drive both self-serve and sales-sold marketing efforts.
What you’ll do
We’re seeking an experienced product marketer to own go-to-market strategy and execution for Stripe’s global selling solution. As a Product Marketing Manager, you will own solution-level messaging and positioning, create differentiated content, support product launches of our localized currency presentment products, and enable sales. Reporting to the Global Payments lead, you’ll partner with product, strategy & ops, and GTM teams to drive awareness and pipeline across Stripe’s existing customer base and prospects in a rapidly evolving market.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with product, partnerships, and partner marketing (demand generation) teams to build a marketing strategy, with the goal of driving awareness, demand, and usage of our products
- Own messaging and positioning for our global selling solution. Develop campaign-level content as well as sales enablement assets
- Enable sales teams to understand the value of our products and competitive solutions
- Create high-impact thought leadership content that demonstrates Stripe’s vision for global selling
- Support product launches by defining audience segments, crafting launch narratives, coordinating cross-functional readiness, and executing launch activities
Who you are
- Be a storyteller. You have deep empathy for users and are able to adapt how you communicate to best reach and engage your audience and differentiate Stripe. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Lead with data. You like working with data and insights and pair that with your passion for users to generate balanced and thoughtful points of view for how to market.
- Keep things organized. You are able to manage highly interdependent, complex projects and keep various workstreams on track.
- Be ambitious. You are eager to make an impact at Stripe. You thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic, hyper-growth environment, are comfortable with ambiguity, and are able to operate fluidly between the 30,000-foot strategy level and the micro-detail to get things right.
- Act as a team player. Product Marketers collaborate across the Marketing team and with basically every team at Stripe. You are able to work with a range of disciplines to execute on your work.
Minimum requirements
- 7+ years of product marketing experience
- Experience developing messaging, positioning, and sales enablement materials
- Strong verbal and written communication; able to translate technical features into customer-facing benefits
- Experience managing cross-functional GTM efforts, including working closely with product, sales, and marketing teams
- Be able to leverage data to proactively identify opportunities and drive impactful results.
Hybrid work at Stripe
This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).
Pay and benefits
The annual US base salary range for this role is $145,000 - $217,600. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.
