Job Description

Amazon Books is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to lead outbound channel marketing (email, push notifications, non-paid channels) for the Japan marketplace.

This role sits at the intersection of local marketplace execution and global product strategy. You will own Japan's outbound marketing programs while serving as the connective tissue between the Japan marketplace and the centralized Books Outbound PM/Engineering team in Seattle. You will centralize channel strategy across marketplaces and ensure Japan-specific needs are reflected in the global product roadmap from the ideation stage, not retrofitted after US launch.

Key job responsibilities
Provide marketplace-specific marketing inputs: targeting logic, content strategy, copy, and cadence recommendations for JP

Lead experiments by creating campaigns/programs and shepherding them through the bar-raise process
Continuously optimize, expand, and improve outbound channel performance

Create, monitor, and maintain programs to ensure they send as expected, are restarted/extended before expiry, and are classified correctly for reporting

Basic Qualifications


- 3+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience in online marketing channels such as social media marketing, display advertising, and search engine marketing

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of HTML, SQL, Excel
