Working at Atlassian

Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity.

Your Future Org
Atlassian’s Intern program combines hands-on technical training, professional growth opportunities, dedicated mentorship, and strong social connections. This holistic approach empowers students to hit the ground running and sets them up for a successful and impactful career at Atlassian!
Applications will be accepted from Australian and New Zealand Citizens and Australian Permanent Residents.
Our paid internship program runs for 12 weeks between November 2026 - February 2027.

Responsibilities

Your Future Team
As our Product Marketing Intern, AI Trust, you will report to the Trust Product Marketing team, working closely with other marketers, product managers, data scientists, sales, designers, and cross-functional GTM partners. You’ll help Atlassian sharpen our AI trust narrative and competitive position for products like Rovo by digging into how the market talks about AI trust, benchmarking competitors, and translating your insights into clear recommendations and content. Your work will help drive enterprise adoption of AI within Atlassian’s customer base.

Responsibilities
Throughout the internship, you will:

  • Gather and analyse feedback from customers and field-teams to identity opportunities for improved messaging and collateral

  • Dive deep into competitor AI trust strategies, trust centres, public commitments, and messaging

  • Synthesise industry standards and frameworks (for example from NIST, ISO, OECD) into practical best practices for Atlassian

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and, where possible, external experts to understand how customers think about AI trust, transparency, and ethics

  • Help identify gaps between Atlassian’s current AI trust posture and market leaders, and propose actionable recommendations

  • Create at least one customer-facing AI trust content artifact based on your analysis (for example, a blog, one‑pager, or narrative outline)

  • Present your findings and recommendations to AI and product marketing leadership

This role is a great fit if you’re excited by responsible AI, enjoy turning complex research into clear, compelling stories, and want to influence how customers understand and trust Atlassian’s AI capabilities.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Able to commit to a 12-week full-time program between November 2026 – February 2027.

  • Currently enrolled full-time in an MBA degree or a Marketing Master’s degree program and returning to the program after the completion of the internship, graduating by January 2028.

  • Passionate about marketing with an interest in AI and responsible technology – curiosity about how organisations build and communicate trust, transparency, and ethics in AI.

  • Strong research and synthesis skills – ability to review multiple sources (websites, reports, frameworks), identify patterns, and summarise key insights clearly.

  • Structured, analytical thinking – comfortable organising information into frameworks, matrices, or comparisons to support clear recommendations.

  • Communication skills – able to write clearly, build simple slides, and explain complex ideas in a straightforward way.

  • Collaboration mindset - enjoy working closely with marketers, PMs, and other cross‑functional partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with competitive, market, or academic research projects – for example, class projects, independent research, or work experience where you analysed multiple sources and presented findings.

  • Familiarity with AI, data privacy, security, or technology policy topics – through coursework, clubs, personal projects, or reading.

  • Experience driving decisions in the face of ambiguity and change.
