About the job

At Google, we put our users first. The world is always changing, so we need Product Managers who are continuously adapting and excited to work on products that affect millions of people every day.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

As the Product Manager for Core SDKs and the Developer App Model, you will own the critical infrastructure and developer pathways that bridge mobile devices and our next-generation XR wearables. Your core mission is to oversee the iOS and Android core projected libraries, an exceptional developer experience, and robust cross-platform consistency.

In this role, you will lead the definition and execution of the Developer App Model, empowering third-party developers to build secure, lightweight, and high-fidelity XR experiences. A crucial aspect of this role is enabling app model experiences by thinking deeply through how developers can leverage system surfaces and System UI seamlessly. Understanding that developers expect our toolkit to respect native paradigms, you will advocate for authentic developer experiences.

For decades, the computing revolution has reshaped our world driven by
breakthroughs in compute, connectivity, mobile, and now, AI. Google's XR team is at the forefront of the next major leap – the convergence of AI and XR. This is more than just new devices – it's about reimagining how we interact with the world around us. We're building a future where
lightweight XR devices like smart glasses and headsets pair with helpful AI to augment human intelligence, offering personalized, conversational, and contextually aware experiences.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $163,000-$237,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. • Establish the projected SDK architecture and foundational developer ecosystem for AI glasses and headsets.
  • Design how third-party applications interact with and utilize core system surfaces, ensuring developers can easily build extensions and companion experiences that feel native to the OS.
  • Lead the product development of the XR iOS SDK, ensuring developers have the need to tap into core wearable sensors, audio, and display capabilities.
  • Drive initiatives to full realization by maintaining prioritization, dropping bottom-tier tasks, and ensuring end-to-end delivery of core product workflows.
