Position: Product Manager, Water Solutions

Primary Location: Home Based with Travel, to be located either within Canada or the US

Reports to: Sales Director, Water Solutions

Compensation: $140-150 + bonus + benefits. (salaried, exempt)

The range shown reflects the targeted pay scale. Actual pay within the range depends on work location and factors such as skills, experience, and education. Specific salary details can be discussed during the hiring process. Posted compensation reflects base salary only and excludes bonuses, benefits, pension contributions, and other incentives.

About This Role and You

We are seeking a motivated and execution-focused Product Manager to join our dynamic team in the Water chemical industry. This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead the development, positioning, and management of our Aluminum Sulfate product line. This role is critical in driving market growth, deepening customer relationships, and aligning cross functional teams to deliver value in the industrial, municipal, and water treatment sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and a keen interest in water industry trends.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Economics, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.• Experience: 3-5 years in business management, sales, finance, or industry-specific roles (chemical or manufacturing sector preferred).• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of chemical market dynamics, supply chain logistics, or production processes is a plus.• Skills: Strong analytical skills, financial acumen, negotiation abilities, and problem solving mindset.• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and interact with stakeholders.• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with ERP systems, CRM tools, and business analysis software (Excel, Power BI, SAP).• Travel: Ability to travel occasionally for customer visits and industry events

Responsibilities

• Product Lifecycle Management: Own the roadmap for existing products, ensuring they remain competitive, relevant, and aligned with customer needs.• P&L Responsibility and Management: Track product performance, key metrics including volume, margin, and market share to align strategies and execute decisions for profitability of the business. • Market Analysis & Strategy: Conduct research on market trends, competitor activities, and business opportunities within the water chemical sector. Develop market strategies and adjust accordingly with market intelligence.• Sales & Business Development: Support Sales and customer relationship management, identify potential partnerships, and assist in contract negotiations.Communicate and execute business strategies.• Financial Oversight: Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure business profitability.• Operational Support: Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and drive operational success.• Reporting & Presentation: Prepare reports and presentations for management, providing insights to support business decisions.• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Sales, Supply Chain, and Operations to support business growth, customer satisfaction and go-to-market strategies.
