Ready to take your product management experience into a role where you can influence some of the more complex areas of lending?
We’re looking for a Product Manager – Specialised Lending to help shape, manage and evolve our specialised lending portfolio, with a particular focus on BOQS Home Loans, complex lending structures including construction lending, and Group consumer finance products.
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Specialised Lending, you’ll play an important role in delivering product initiatives that strengthen portfolio performance, customer retention and the overall product experience.
This is a varied role where you’ll be involved across the full product lifecycle, from product performance, pricing and policy through to governance, risk reviews, controls, change delivery and regulatory requirements. You’ll bring together customer, market, financial and operational insights to identify opportunities, solve problems and turn complex information into practical recommendations and outcomes.
You’ll work closely with teams across Distribution, Credit, Operations, Technology, Finance, Treasury, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Marketing and Customer, helping deliver initiatives from initial analysis and requirements through to approval, implementation and post-implementation review.
Along the way, you’ll look for opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen controls and create better experiences for customers, brokers and bankers.
If you enjoy combining commercial thinking with customer insight, problem solving and hands-on product delivery, this is an opportunity to make an impact across a diverse and important lending portfolio.
You’re a product professional with experience in lending, financial services or another regulated environment.
Home lending experience is essential, while knowledge of personal overdrafts and credit cards is desirable. You can balance customer outcomes, commercial performance, governance and risk, with experience in product performance, pricing, process change or implementation.
You understand how lending products connect across the customer journey, including policy, distribution, operations and supporting systems.
You analyse financial, customer, market, competitor and operational data to evaluate performance, identify trends and make clear, commercially sound recommendations. Your strong strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills enable you to use data confidently in decision-making.
You also have a sound understanding of Australia’s financial services regulatory environment, including responsible lending, product governance, DDO and TMD obligations, complaints, incidents and risk controls.
You work effectively across complex stakeholder groups, building strong relationships and bringing people together to progress decisions and deliver outcomes.
You’re organised, curious and solutions-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication skills. You translate data into clear recommendations, manage competing priorities without sacrificing quality or attention to detail, and take ownership of your work.
You also value knowledge sharing and collaboration.
You bring strong planning and delivery skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, competing priorities, dependencies and risks in a complex environment.
A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Finance, Marketing or a related discipline would be viewed favourably.
