Job Description

At Fadata, we take pride in our ability to adapt quickly to the ever-changing needs of our market and customers. This means that you, too, should be ready to embrace change as circumstances evolve. If you're excited about a fast-paced, dynamic environment where strategy is set but flexibility to grow with the market remains, then hit the apply button.

We have a bold vision: to become the global standard for core software solutions in the insurance industry. Our aim is to achieve this by developing a truly cloud-native solution that can scale limitlessly—and we want you to be part of that journey.

Our values—Trust, Openness, Passion, Innovation, and Care—serve as our guiding compass. They shape how we work every day, our relationships with clients, and the way we collaborate as a team.

Opportunity

Fadata empowers insurers to enhance customer engagement, drive innovation, and unlock business value. Recognised by Gartner and Celent as a leading solution provider, the company serves clients in more than 30 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.

Fadata operates according to the Fadata playbook, inspired by Agile and Kanban frameworks. Work planning and coordination occur through continuous planning sessions and bi-weekly sprints. The organisation is structured in a matrix model around development teams, Technical Engineering Leadership, lead developers, and Product Ownership.

As Product Manager & Product Owner for the AI Domain, you will help define, shape, and deliver the AI capabilities embedded across the INSIS platform alongside our existing team of Product managers. You will support in identifying high-value use cases with insurers, partners, and internal stakeholders, to writing Epics and User Stories, grooming the backlog, and following through with engineering until features are released and adopted.

This is a hybrid PM/PO role: strategic enough to support in defining the direction for AI in core insurance (underwriting, claims, policy administration, distribution, customer service), and hands-on enough to live in the backlog day-to-day. You will be part of a team of Product Managers under the leadership of the Director of Strategy and Product Management, collaborating closely with engineering, design, commercial, and customer-facing teams.

Your responsibilities

Use Case Definition & AI Product Discovery

  • Identify, qualify, and prioritise AI use cases across the insurance value chain — E.g., claims triage and fraud, underwriting automation, document and email intake, policy servicing, customer-facing assistants, agent productivity, and operational analytics.

  • Engage directly with insurers, Fadata partners, and prospects to validate problem statements, quantify business value, and shape the AI roadmap for INSIS.

  • Translate emerging AI capabilities (specially focused on LLMs) into concrete, defensible product bets aligned with Fadata's platform strategy.

User Stories, Epics & Backlog Ownership

  • Author Epics and User Stories with clear acceptance criteria, non-functional requirements, and success metrics — not at a high level only, but at the depth engineering needs to build.

  • Own and groom the AI domain backlog: prioritise, sequence, and trade off scope against capacity in continuous planning and bi-weekly sprints per the Fadata playbook.

  • Act as the single point of accountability for the AI product increment — answering engineering questions, clarifying scope, and accepting completed work.

Execution & Delivery Follow-Through

  • Work side-by-side with engineering, lead developers, and Technical Engineering Leadership to take features from story to production — not handing off and stepping back.

  • Drive resolution of blockers, dependencies, and design trade-offs through the sprint; protect quality, timelines, and the customer outcome.

  • Coordinate releases, enablement, and feedback loops with Customer Success, Implementation, and Support so AI features actually land with insurers.

Market, Customer & Competitive Insight

  • Maintain a sharp view of the AI-in-insurance landscape: insurtech competitors, hyperscaler offerings, regulatory developments (EU AI Act, GDPR, Solvency II implications), and emerging customer expectations.

  • Gather structured feedback from clients and prospects and turn it into prioritised product input.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams — engineering, design, marketing, sales, and partner management — to ensure alignment and effective execution.

  • Communicate roadmap, progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to internal leadership and to external stakeholders including clients and sector analysts.

Performance Tracking & Optimisation

  • Define KPIs for AI features (adoption, accuracy, business impact, time-to-value) and monitor performance against targets post-release.

  • Identify areas for improvement and iterate — treat AI features as evolving products, not one-time deliveries.

What you bring to the table

  • 5+ years of combined experience in product management, product ownership, and/or strategy consulting, with applied delivery experience in the insurance sector.
  • Background from a recognised strategy or technology consulting firm is strongly preferred — for example McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Deloitte, EY-Parthenon, KPMG, PwC Strategy&, Accenture, or Capgemini Invent globally, or Implement Consulting Group, Valcon, Nordic Insight, Devoteam, or Netcompany — ideally with a focus on Insurance & Technology.
  • Deep understanding of the insurance and pension industry's digital transformation, with a global perspective and familiarity with core insurance processes (policy, claims, billing, distribution, reinsurance).
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of AI and its concrete use cases in insurance — including generative AI, ML, agentic workflows, and the practical realities of deploying them (data quality, evaluation, guardrails, explainability, cost).
  • Proven track record of writing Epics and User Stories that engineering teams can build from, and of staying engaged through delivery — not stopping at strategy decks.
  • Comfortable operating at both altitudes: facilitating an executive use-case workshop with a Chief Claims Officer in the morning, and clarifying a story's acceptance criteria with a developer in the afternoon.
  • Strong grasp of Agile/Kanban delivery, backlog management tools (Jira or equivalent), and product management frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage credibly with insurers, partners, and engineers alike.
  • Analytical mindset — able to leverage data to drive informed product decisions and to build a business case for an AI investment.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

Why you should join us

  • Become part of a fast-growing insurance software vendor with multinational teams across Europe – we actually have+15 nationalities in our company
  • Receive a competitive remuneration package together with great opportunities for personal and professional growth
  • A positive company culture built around people's wellbeing
  • No meetings time when we can focus on our main tasks
  • Work in a dynamic environment with an exceptional team that is always ready to help
  • A half-day off the second Friday of the month, so you focus on passion projects, boost your creativity or spend time with your loved ones

If you are interested in this role, we will be glad to hear from you.
