Job Description

The Payment Product Team is responsible for Icelandair’s payment capabilities supporting customer experience and commercial performance. The team consists of a small, high-impact group of specialists working at the intersection of payments, technology, finance and operations to turn payments into a strategic capability for Icelandair.

As Payment Product Manager, you will own the product roadmap for Icelandair's payment capabilities and translate strategy into tangible improvements across channels and processing flows directly strengthening conversion, performance and commercial results. In close collaboration with the Head of Loyalty & Payments, the Payment Tech Lead, and stakeholders across the Commercial division, Finance and Digital & Data you will ensure that Icelandair delivers payment experiences that are reliable, cost-effective and customer-centric.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and continuously develop the payment product roadmap across channels and journeys.
  • Translate payment strategy into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and launch discipline
  • Build and evaluate business cases for payments across all channels within Icelandair.
  • Drive cross functional delivery and vendor follow up to ensure progress and close issues.

Qualifications:

  • Education fit for purpose
  • Experience in product management, digital commerce, payments, fintech, travel, or e-commerce.
  • Practical understanding of the payment eco-system, e.g. different payment methods, providers and flow.
  • Ability to structure business cases and prioritise based on impact, cost, and risk.
  • Proven ability to write clear requirements and decision material.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
