The Mission

As a Customer Journey Expert for the Open Banking Platform, you are responsible for end-to-end delivery and continuous improvement of specific platform capabilities and journeys, ensuring they meet user needs, regulatory requirements, and platform standards.

You take ownership of problems within your scope, translating user and stakeholder needs into actionable backlog, driving execution with squads, and ensuring high-quality outcomes.

You work independently within a defined product direction, proactively identifying improvement opportunities and aligning stakeholders across business, technology, and control functions.

Your day to day

End-to-End Product Ownership (within scope)

  • Own and manage specific components or journeys within the Open Banking platform - third party access and authentication (e.g. Oauth), onboarding flows, API catalogue management, and developer support;
  • Translate and anticipate user needs, operational feedback, and regulatory requirements into clear backlog items and priorities;
  • Ensure delivery outcomes meet quality, usability, and compliance standards.

Execution & Delivery Leadership

  • Drive execution with squads, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of platform improvements and features;
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and delivery bottlenecks, and coordinate resolution with relevant stakeholders;
  • Monitor performance and usage of owned capabilities and implement continuous improvements based on data and feedback.

Stakeholder Alignment & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Product Lead, architects, and API-producing teams (e.g. Payments, Lending domains) to ensure alignment and integration;
  • Engage with Risk, Compliance, and other control functions to ensure solutions meet regulatory and security requirements;
  • Act as a key point of contact for your scope, ensuring transparency and alignment across stakeholders.

Governance & Quality

  • Apply and support API governance standards, including documentation quality, naming conventions, and lifecycle management;
  • Participate in design reviews and ensure adherence to architectural and security standards;
  • Contribute to consistency and reuse across platform components and APIs.

Developer Enablement & Continuous Improvement

  • Support onboarding and enablement of internal and external API consumers;
  • Contribute to documentation, training, and developer support materials;
  • Gather feedback from users and stakeholders and translate it into actionable improvements.

How You Measure Success

  • Successful delivery of user journeys and features incl. backlog items within agreed scope and quality standards;
  • Improved usability and efficiency of owned journeys (e.g. onboarding, documentation);
  • Compliance with governance and regulatory requirements;
  • Reduction of issues, rework, or friction in API integration journeys;
  • Positive feedback from internal and external users.

What You Bring to the team

Experience 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, , or Platform PM within technology, developer platforms, or APIs.

Mandatory

  • Strong understanding of REST/JSON APIs, API gateways, developer portals, lifecycle governance, and platform telemetry;
  • Experience balancing product strategy with operational excellence (SLAs, incidents, compliance);
  • Ability to work with Risk, Legal, Compliance, Tax, and Architecture in regulated environments;
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling you to effectively influence and collaborate with global teams and senior stakeholders, even without direct authority;
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in API analytics, adoption metrics, and Dev optimization;
  • Education: A Master’s degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Excellent command of English.
