About us

At Onboarding we are responsible for the onboarding of more than 300.000 new ING customers each year. With 3 multi-disciplined squads we welcome all retail customers and manage both mobile onboarding as well as onboarding via our assisted channels and provide onboarding capabilities to other domains such as Mortgages and Business Banking.

We continuously explore, release, and test new features to provide secure processes that delight our customers. We do this in constant dialogue with our colleagues at Product fulfilment, KYC, Digital & Customer Interactions, Fraud & Cybersecurity and Customer Data. Superior customer experience and conversion optimalization are key to move forward.

At ING we are mobile led, which means that the mobile channel has our strategic focus. We are therefore looking for a Product Manager with IT affinity who can create superior mobile customer flows and effectively translate new regulations (AMLR) into existing processes, ensuring regulatory requirements are embedded in a seamless and customer‑centric way. As a Customer Journey Expert/Product Manager you:

  • Translate new customer identification legislation into concrete process changes, while constructively challenging options
  • Assess and articulate the impact of new measures on sales, conversion and STP across processes
  • Identify and manage dependencies with internal and external stakeholders
  • Act as a strong team player contributing to timely end‑to‑end delivery, from ideation to launch
  • Balance customer value with ING’s commercial and profitability objectives
  • Understand system architecture and the IT landscape across business units
  • Are fluent in English; professional working proficiency in Dutch is preferred
  • Thrive in a multidisciplinary, international, agile environment and actively give and seek constructive feedback

You have:

  • A master’s or bachelor’s degree
  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience in product/IT delivery
  • Experience with the implementation of new regulations in existing Customer processes with customer centric mindset
  • Experience in the Financial Industry with identification & verification processes
  • Realization skills, able to take on a challenge and make it happen
  • Strong analytical skills and taking decisions based on data and facts
  • Solid interpersonal, intercultural and collaborative skills to interact with different stakeholders across teams
