Job Description

Symmetrio is partnering with an innovative medical technology company to recruit a Product Manager with a background in Medical Physics within Radiation Oncology. This role focuses on guiding the development and lifecycle management of cutting-edge products that enhance treatment accuracy and safety in radiation oncology.

The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in medical physics, combined with product management experience in the medical device or healthcare technology sectors. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams including R&D, clinical, regulatory, and sales to deliver impactful solutions to customers worldwide.

This is a hybrid position based in the US with occasional travel. Competitive salary and benefits package offered.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the product roadmap for radiation oncology medical physics solutions, aligning with clinical and market needs.
  • Gather and prioritize customer requirements by working closely with medical physicists, clinicians, and key opinion leaders.
  • Collaborate with engineering and clinical teams to translate clinical workflows and technical specifications into product features and enhancements.
  • Support go-to-market strategies including product launches, training, and customer education initiatives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor products, and regulatory requirements impacting radiation oncology medical physics tools.
  • Partner with marketing and sales teams to develop product positioning, messaging, and sales enablement materials.
  • Drive lifecycle management including feature updates, product improvements, and end-of-life planning.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant medical device regulations and quality standards throughout the product development process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field; certification (e.g., ABR) preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in medical physics within radiation oncology, with exposure to clinical workflows and treatment planning systems.
  • 3+ years of product management experience in the medical device or healthcare technology industries.
  • Strong understanding of radiation therapy technologies, QA processes, and industry regulations (FDA, ISO, IEC).
  • Excellent communication and project management skills with ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Experience working with regulated medical devices and knowledge of quality management systems (QMS).
  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to 30%).
