The role 🙋

As Product Manager Markets & Accounting, you will lead our international launch efforts and ensure perfect market readiness across new and existing geographies for our expense management platform. Your mission is to take full ownership of local market readiness by translating complex country-specific regulatory, tax, and accounting requirements into seamless product experiences.

You will work closely with our developers across the engineering organization, translating local compliance rules into technical execution to build scalable financial features. What you will do 🙌

• Lead hands-on product discovery in designated markets, partnering directly with local accounting firms, advisors, and finance teams to understand real-world business practices and regional nuances.
• Systematically evaluate country-specific regulatory, tax, accounting, and user workflow requirements to define and prioritize the product adaptations needed for a successful local launch.
• Translate findings, including local regulations, tax authority rules, and reporting standards, into clear, actionable requirements for engineering teams, turning compliance into technical execution.
• Serve as our internal expert on global expense reporting and accounting standards, ensuring the product achieves and maintains full compliance as we expand into new markets.
• Define and document precise technical requirements for local markets, including digital and physical receipt standards, data retention laws, local card infrastructure, and integrations with government financial portals.
• Track evolving tax and legal requirements across active markets, ensuring the product maintains full compliance and updated local workflows over time.

Qualifications 📝

• Proven experience as a Product Manager, Business Analyst, or Technical PM, ideally within Fintech, SaaS, or a highly regulated domain.
• Solid foundation in accounting standards, tax regulations, or financial compliance requirements, with a proven ability to translate complex financial rules into product logic.
• Strong technical aptitude and experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks, collaborating directly with software engineers to refine backlogs and ship scalable features.
• Demonstrated ability to perform hands-on market discovery, including expert interviews, research with local advisors, and on-site visits.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with a knack for synthesizing complex legal, tax, and accounting requirements into simple, actionable user stories.
• Strong cross-functional leadership, comfortable serving as the bridge between local financial domain experts, internal stakeholders, and multiple engineering teams.
