WB Transformation office

The WB Transformation Office, reporting to the Head of Wholesale Banking, was established to lead change in three areas:

Leading digital transformation to improve the digital experience for colleagues and clients, and future-proof our organization. Ensuring our product range meets customer needs and updating our portfolio efficiently. Executing an effective originate-to-distribute strategy to optimize capital allocation.

The WB TO team, consisting of around 200 colleagues, integrates roles related to digitalization, change, regulation, customer data, and capital deployment, structured into the following departments: Capital Distribution, Risk Models, Transformation Management, Customer Data Management, and Digital Delivery Management.

Digital Delivery Management Team

Responsibilities

As part of WB TO, the Digital Delivery Management team is pivotal in realizing our digital delivery goals and enhancing customer and employee experiences. The team drives the WB Digital ambition to enable seamless delivery of products, solutions, and services that matter most to our colleagues and customers. The Digital Delivery Management team is responsible for:

Setting and communicating the 'WB digital ambition' Managing the 'Value Stream Digital' Delivering 'digital (product-agnostic) capabilities' to enable digitalization across products Driving digital innovation within the WB organization Promoting and facilitating digital adoption across the WB organization

Your role and work environment

The Digital Delivery Team/ Tribe Digital consist of 3 Product Areas each consisting of multiple squads that build and maintain generic digital capabilities together with engineers from WB tech. Next to that the Tribe has 4 so called Centres of Expertise (COE) are built around experts that are driving digitalization across the Wholesale Bank.

Within the Digital team, COE Digital Transformation is responsible for creating, maintaining and driving the digitalization roadmap that guides our journey towards digital transformation, ensuring effective resource allocation and consistent progress. With a holistic view of our digital change portfolio, manage interdependencies between projects and balance demand and supply across different delivery teams (X-Tribe), optimizing resources and ensuring smooth progress. Additionally, tracks and measures the value generated by digital initiatives, aligning them with our ambitious 2026 targets to contribute meaningfully to our overall digital transformation journey and business objectives.

Role & Responsibilities

  • InsideBusiness Portal is the global suite of all digital solutions we offer to our clients and employees. Your scope will be this suite. This will hereafter be referred to as “product”.
  • As Product Manager Channels, you align with Product Area Leads and other stakeholders on the performance of ING WB’s InsideBusiness portal. You support the implementation of the commercial strategy for the products and services in your scope.
  • You focus on commercial management, product management and marketing and apply your experience to target audiences in the fast-changing context of digital channels.
  • You serve as a touchpoint to capture client feedback, relate it to the CX team, and contribute ideas on how to attract customers and continuously improve product performance.
  • You monitor relevant industry developments, translate them into insights for your product scope, and contribute to discussions on its strategic direction.
  • You participate in the global network and facilitate cross-border collaboration and alignment among parties contributing to your product area.
  • You align with Delivery Tribes, Client Services and the Sector organization and provide support during client pitches.
  • You identify valuable feature opportunities, substantiate them with relevant insights, and channel them to the appropriate Delivery Tribe.

Your key responsibilities

  • You contribute insights and recommendations that help the CoE Lead Digital Transformation and Product Area Lead Interactive Channels shape priorities for the InsideBusiness Portal within ING Wholesale Banking.
  • You coordinate the InsideBusiness portal as a digital proposition within your scope. You assess new requests, clarify value and trade-offs, and prepare recommendations for prioritization while supporting alignment across the foundation and product modules delivered by other tribes, including consultancy on projects delivering new and improved features, expansion into new countries and markets, and coordination of cross-domain initiatives.
  • You participate in design discussions, including the Business Design Board and service design sprints, and provide input on standard and global requirements for InsideBusiness.
  • You help keep documentation current and accessible, including guidance on how Product Areas can integrate with IB and IBS. You work with Product Owners and leadership to clarify when new functionality or capabilities should be brought to IB or IBS.
  • You contribute to the product strategy, proposition, roadmap, design, commercial execution and life-cycle management, and coordinate agreed activities within your scope.
  • You consolidate demand for IB and IBS, maintain an integrated view of the roadmap, and support the governance and prioritization process for new requests.
  • You coordinate marketing, communication and customer-satisfaction activities, and keep materials on available InsideBusiness capabilities up to date.
  • You keep relevant stakeholder groups informed about available capabilities, planned changes and agreed priorities.
  • You contribute to market and competitor research and translate findings into practical recommendations.
  • You contribute to the sustainable performance of InsideBusiness and identify opportunities to better serve customers in daily collaboration with Sales, Client Services and the Sector organization.
  • You develop and deliver knowledge-sharing sessions for Delivery Tribes to strengthen understanding of key features, capabilities and the client-facing experience.

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree, with at least three years of relevant experience in digital channels, product management, client experience or a comparable field.
  • Experience in commercial product management, marketing and/or client experience.
  • Solid knowledge and experience of InsideBusiness.
  • Customer and market analysis.
  • Financial acumen.
  • Stakeholder management skills in complex, international ecosystems.
  • Business analysis and insight.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; Dutch is an advantage.
  • A proactive professional who combines client focus with commercial awareness and clear communication.
  • The ability and drive to take ownership of assigned deliverables, support strategy implementation and manage risks within your scope.
  • Strong analytical skills and a fact-based approach. You can translate complex content and financial information into clear insights, recommendations and business cases.
  • Strong resilience and the ability to navigate ambiguity and simplify complexity.
  • A proactive, creative and out-of-the-box thinker.
