Job Description

About the role and team

Product at Uber means making big decisions without perfect information—and owning the outcomes. As a Product Manager II, you will turn complexity into clarity at speed, navigate competing priorities, and lead through influence, not control. This role is about solving what is hard to shape the future of movement.

You will navigate the messy reality of marketplace mechanics where the path forward is rarely predefined. We need leaders who move with urgency and stay resilient when faced with high-stakes ambiguity. If you think critically and want to solve real-world problems under real-world constraints, this is where you will grow.

Rate of Pay: $261,248 to $313,498 per Year

You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits. More details can be found at the following link https://www.uber.com/careers/benefits.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the product strategy and execution for the shopper (courier) experience for Uber Grocery & Retail.
  • Understand the needs of our Earners, potential Earners, as well as various lines of business to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for your product area.
  • Ensure that couriers are sufficiently prepared to handle complex orders and be able to provide them live support in a scaled, tech-driven way while they are shopping and delivering.
  • Be a thought leader for ways to ensure fulfillment success across all levers, from pricing and incentives to courier education, rewards and data transparency.
  • Collaborating with our regional operations and sales teams to deeply understand the market nuances and pain-points related to fulfillment - and then devising and executing product solutions to solve them.
  • Influencing the product roadmaps of many other teams across Uber that work to onboard Earners, manage their trip experience and match them with orders.
  • May telecommute.

Basic Qualifications

  • Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics or related field, followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a related occupation.
  • Position requires:
    • Foundational concepts in applied statistics as they relate to analyzing user behavior and supporting data-driven product decisions;
    • Exploratory data analysis and statistical analysis, including development of data models and interpretation of experimental results;
    • Use of data analysis tools for data processing and analytical workflows, including SQL, Excel, and data visualization platforms;
    • Designing, executing, and analyzing controlled experiments (A/B tests) to evaluate product features and user experience changes;
    • Evaluating operational performance through data analysis to identify improvement opportunities in product and operational systems;
    • Presenting analytical findings and strategic recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership to guide product decision-making;
    • Developing and defining key performance metrics (KPIs) to measure product, operational, and business performance.

About Uber

We are Uber. The go-getters. The kind of people who are relentless about our mission to help people go anywhere and get anything and earn their way. Movement is what we power. It’s our lifeblood. It runs through our veins. It’s what gets us out of bed each morning. It pushes us to constantly reimagine how we can move better. For you. For all the places you want to go. For all the things you want to get. For all the ways you want to earn. Across the entire world. In real time. At the incredible speed of now.

The idea for Uber was born on a snowy night in Paris in 2008, and ever since then our DNA of reimagination and reinvention carries on. We’ve grown into a global platform powering flexible earnings and the movement of people and things in ever expanding ways. We’ve gone from connecting rides on 4 wheels to 2 wheels to 18-wheel freight deliveries. From takeout meals to daily essentials to prescription drugs to just about anything you need at any time and earning your way. From drivers with background checks to real-time verification, safety is a top priority every single day. At Uber, the pursuit of reimagination is never finished, never stops, and is always just beginning.
