Job Description

The Product Manager will set strategic pricing and floor pricing targets and work cross functionally with Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing and Supply Chain. This role is responsible for defining the product mix by partnering with the Marketing Manager. The Product Manager will be comfortable solving ambiguous problems using both quantitative and qualitative data, synthesizing information to deliver key insights to leadership.

This position requires multi-departmental interface to marketing, sales, customer service, branch operations, manufacturing and procurement. Key functional requirements will be to utilize industry trend information to develop demand models in extrapolating potential and projected sales, lead the product family and/or corporate-wide Commercialization process, chair the Product Review Meeting as part of the Sales & Operations Planning process, manage key Sales & Marketing performance indicators including sales funnel measures, commercialization stage gate metrics, project delivery statistics, and participate actively in the overall Sales & Operations Planning process.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Define the product strategy & roadmap
• 0-2 year asset strategy and execution
• Lead Product Management Team (PAMT)
• Establish floor pricing
• Define optimal product mix with Marketing Manager
• Lead periodical product portfolio reviews (ABCxyz and profitability analyses) to determine SKU rationalization
• Asset utilization for maximum business profitability
• Assessing competitive challenges and deliver clear strategic recommendations
• Support business-critical projects such as understanding sudden changes in core business metrics
• Deliver product cost reduction
• Support Marketing with Market and Competitor Intelligence efforts
• Work with subject matter experts to scope, design, test and deliver product solutions
• Work with sales, sales operations, customer service and operations to review and refine customer service policies consistent with market expectation and business capabilities
• Recommend demand shaping actions in response to market conditions
• Create and maintain the by-SKU Phase-In/Phase-Out plan

Education and Experience
• BS/BA required. MBA desired or relevant certifications
• 3-5 years in related role
