Who We Are:

Sunco is one of the largest and fastest-growing online lighting retailers in the U.S.—and we’re just getting started. Headquartered in sunny Valencia, CA, we’re powered by an amazing team of people who bring passion, purpose, and innovation to everything they do.

What We Do:

We light up the world—literally

Millions of customers have trusted Sunco for our energy-efficient LED lighting and our commitment to quality, value, and customer care. Whether it’s a home renovation or a large-scale commercial project, our mission is to deliver top-tier lighting solutions with unbeatable service and eco-conscious impact.

At Sunco, we don’t just sell lights—we help our customers see things in a whole new light.

What you’ll do:

  • Requirement gathering: Work with sales, marketing, and customer support to collect and document feature requests, technical specs, and use-case requirements.
  • Release coordination: Plan and coordinate feature releases—defining scope, timelines, and stakeholder communications.
  • Trend monitoring: Keep abreast of lighting trends (e.g., tunable white, circadian rhythms, human-centric design) and evolving standards (ENERGY STAR®, DLC).
  • Competitive benchmarking: Analyze competitor offerings for performance (lumens/W), feature set (connectivity, controls), and pricing to inform positioning.
  • Customer segmentation: Define target segments (specifiers, contractors, end-users), map their buying criteria, and refine value propositions accordingly.
  • Engineering liaison: Collaborate with electrical, firmware, and mechanical teams to translate requirements into robust, manufacturable solutions.
  • Quality & compliance: Coordinate with QA and regulatory teams to ensure UL/CE testing, RoHS, and energy-efficiency certifications are on track.
  • Metrics & reporting: Track KPIs such as sales velocity, backlog, win rates, warranty returns, and channel feedback, then report insights to leadership.
  • Post-launch iteration: Solicit field feedback, analyze product performance (thermal, optical, reliability), and drive continuous improvements or bug fixes.
  • Lifecycle management: Plan end-of-life timelines, de-commission legacy SKUs, and communicate transitions to customers and partners.
  • Customer feedback: Host regular check-ins with end-users to validate roadmap priorities.
  • Supplier relations: Maintain strategic relationships with LED chip vendors, driver manufacturers, and optical component partners to secure roadmaps and favorable pricing.
  • Internal communication: Act as product advocate—brief executives, coordinate with marketing on campaigns, and align sales on promotions and incentives.
  • Technology adoption: Leverage AI technologies to accelerate product development and overall product category growth.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in the lighting, building, or construction industries is a plus, but not required.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Communication: Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to both internal teams and external partners.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Comfortable working with teams across departments to drive results and solve problems.
  • Customer Focus: Solid understanding of customer needs with the ability to support strategies that improve satisfaction and product performance.

Benefits & Perks:

At Sunco, we pride ourselves on offering a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and professional growth of our team members, our offering includes:
