Job Description

Create your best future and join Westpac as a Product Manager, Financial Markets.

What’s the role?

Based in Sydney, you’ll join our Financial Markets team, working from the dealing room. This is a full-time role and its primarily dealing room based, close to five days a week with flexibility and support for work from home when needed.

You’ll take ownership of a broad suite of interest rate, deposit and FX products, with responsibility for product governance and the day-to-day work that keeps products safe, clear and ready for customers and partners. That includes managing product issues and incidents, driving remediation, running product reviews and controls, and keeping collateral and digital content accurate and up to date across a large volume of documentation.

You’ll also contribute to product development and change delivery, partnering closely with Sales, Risk, Compliance, Legal and Tax. If you like variety, autonomy, and getting things done end to end, you’ll feel right at home here.

What do I need?

  • Exposure to product management or product governance.
  • Proven experience executing projects or delivering outcomes. For example, managing change and remediation activities
  • Background in financial services, with a strong interest in Financial Markets products (interest rates, FX, deposits)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly working with Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Sales teams
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of product documentation and governance activity
  • An execution‑focused, organised, and autonomous working style, with a growth mindset and curiosity to learn
