WAGO Corporation is seeking a Product Manager – Electronic Interface. The Product Manager – Electronic Interface is responsible for the complete product lifecycle management and commercialization of assigned products. Including the building, implementing and retiring product strategies, retrieving and analyzing feedback from customers, stakeholders and other teams to shape requirements, features and end products to our channel partners and customers for the Electrical Installation product lines.

This role is responsible for leading and managing the overall go-to-market plans focusing on product management and commercialization for Electronic Interface product lines with the goal of meeting and exceeding all business metrics/objectives. Responsibilities include working with other Product Management team members in addition to Marketing Communications to develop and incorporate feedback and input from customers, partners and in-house teams on product strategy and finding ways to create and expand product market reach.

Manages the development of company market requirements and business plans for specific product(s) or product line(s), including product strategy definition, requirements analysis, and pricing along with managing lifecycles, and product positioning in the marketplace. Reduce broad concepts and business strategies into structured product marketing plans. Oversees market research monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs.

Establish pricing strategies. Interacts with engineering, manufacturing and sales to enhance existing product(s) or product line(s). Leads new product definition and business plans with joint departments.

Responsible for the strategic planning and implementation for the following product lines – Power Supplies and other DC related supply components, Relays, Energy Measurement Sensors and Meters, and other products deemed appropriate by the Director of Product Management – Components.

Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or electrical engineering strongly preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of proven experience in product development
Knowledge of the printed circuit board and/or electrical interconnect or other similar markets is preferred

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Meeting and exceeding revenue targets for assigned product line(s)
• Develop and implement a business plan to successfully market products and grow sales in line with international and North American sales target and goals, with coordination in the Americas
• Support and coordinate global and local product initiatives through the PLM framework including key tasks in product ideation, development, introduction, through end of life in the Americas
• Interface with international colleagues to ensure a positive working relationship and representation of needs for the Americas market
• Guide and ensure all product offerings are properly positioned with key industry standards within our industries and countries of scope
• Be aware, document, and share competitors’ products’ marketing and sales activities and develop appropriate responses
• Be aware of, manage and use trends in the marketplace and develop a plan to address these trends
• Leverage industry market intelligence data and reports across product-associated industries, verticals, solutions, markets, customers, applications and vertical marketing places.
• Manage the commercialization of products, services and solutions through coordination with Marcom – to include white papers, trade show booth panels, product promotions, promotional vehicles, website, public relations, advertising, training, and Social Media content, etc.
• Coordinate product sales efforts with sales force – to include visiting key customers and/or prospects
• Coordinate product, solutions and services across portfolio of channel partners such as electrical distributors, end users, OEMs, contractors, system integrators, panel builders and more
• Manage forecasts of product inventory needs throughout the product lifecycle of all assigned products
• Work with Industry Managers to cross-promote product lines within vertical markets
• Work with channel management to properly engage, identify, and grow distributors
• Minimum 25% travel. Both domestic and International

Other Requirements:
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel by automobile or airplane within North America and internationally
• Strong organization, relationship building, and communication skills required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 including Excel and Power Point.
• Strong presentation skills required.
• Knowledge of the sales process (or related sales experience) is preferred.
• Knowledge of consumer habits in retail/DIY marketspace is preferred.
