Job Description

The purpose of the role is to provide strategic direction and manage the end-to-end creative and development process within a specialist team.
Define product vision, setting priorities, and ensuring alignment with business objectives and oversee the design, development, and delivery of innovative products or solutions, balancing customer needs, market trends, and organisational goals.

The successful candidate will be accountable for driving cross-functional collaboration, optimising resources, and ensuring timely execution to achieve product success.

Are you someone who can:

  • Facilitate the conversion of knowledge and ideas into new or improved products, capabilities, processes and services (producer/enabler).
  • Explore local and international markets for new products and trademarks in order to expand and strengthen the business' market position.
  • Provision of an efficient administration service through careful and timeous planning, reporting and updating of all related information.
  • Manage designated product development projects from inception to final execution, including post implementation evaluation.
  • Initiate and manage market research, data mining and quantitative analysis to ensure sustainability and future competitive growth.
  • Establish and maintain effective business procedures that efficiently reduce operational risk and guarantee the delivery of needs specifications of the high quality. Address findings identified through internal or external audits, as well as those raised by client management and risk functions.
  • Develop a product strategy aligned to business strategy to ensure business growth and sustainability.
  • Establishment, alignment and management of target and budget goals whilst ensuring effective control of costs for a range of functional areas to increase cost efficiency.
  • Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including end-users, SMEs, project managers and senior staff members.
  • Maintenance of expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and provision of proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience that exceeds customers and stakeholders’ expectations through proactive and appropriate solutions and communication.
  • Work closely with Segment Customer owners (consumers) to ideate, craft, and launch new offerings across the customer lifecycle.
  • Lead and engage for the Bank at numerous Industry forums for all matters pertaining to the Payment rails that you own.
  • Lead a team of Specialists to drive implementation of the Product strategy, ensuring alignment with Segment strategy.

The ideal candidate will have :

  • +5 Years product management experience (preferably in a payments environment) - Product Support Development and Analysis
  • BCom Marketing, Information Systems or Similar
