Over the past 40 years, we’ve built trusted relationships with millions of people who have chosen us as the platform for discovering, preserving, and sharing the most important information about themselves and their families.

As a Product Manager on our DNA team, you will be responsible for delivering new innovative features to DNA users that combine genomic and genealogical data to unlock deeply personalized insights, piquing users’ family history interest and converting them to paying subscribers.

In this role, you will shape the product strategy and roadmap for features and services—including customer-facing conversational and agentic AI solutions—built on our first-in-class DNA science, the world’s largest genomic database, and billions of historical records. You will lead the charge in creating powerful, engaging discovery experiences that help users unlock their family history by bridging the gap between genetic data and ancestral stories. We are seeking a resiliant, AI-forward problem-solver who can operate autonomously in high-ambiguity environments, take deep ownership of the product lifecycle, and use modern tools to rapidly prototype and ship truly resonant user experiences.

What You Will Do...

  • Drive user conversion and retention by building features that deliver new insights to DNA-first users, leading them to convert to free trialers and subscribers.

  • Deeply understand how back-end data systems can solve user needs, balancing trade-offs between feasibility, accuracy, and cost.

  • Lead continuous product discovery by leveraging AI-native workflows to rapidly build live data prototypes, validate assumptions, and test hypotheses before building for production.

  • Lead UI/UX design initiatives in collaboration with your product designer to create elegant, intuitive experiences.

  • Partner with DNA science, engineering, architecture to build robust DNA platform services—the APIs, logic, and front end components that power our ecosystem.

  • Work closely with UX research, marketing, customer support, and legal teams to deliver value to customers swiftly and consistently.

  • Learn rapidly from both quantitative and qualitative feedback, and adapt strategies with agility based on these insights.

Who You Are...

  • Experience:3-5 years of experience delivering successful consumer products at global scale.

  • AI-native builder:Proven track record of shipping data-dense or AI-powered consumer features. Direct experience with GenAI, LLMs, or conversational agent frameworks is highly preferred.

  • Prototyping & tools:A modern PM who integrates AI into their own daily workflow—comfortable using AI tools to research, query data, or build functional data prototypes during the discovery phase.

  • Systems thinker:Ability to handle immense back-end complexity, navigate ambiguity, and bridge the gap between technical architecture and human-centered business strategy.

  • UX craftsperson:A high bar for design, with a demonstrated ability to transform highly complex data into simple, magical user moments.

  • Experimentation mindset:Strong data literacy with experience running A/B tests to evaluate the impact of feature and algorithmic updates or AI models.

  • Education/Interests:Bachelor’s degree required (STEM, computer science, or genomics is a major plus). A passion for genealogy and storytelling is a plus.
