Job Description

Horizon succeeds when our Creators succeed. The single biggest reason a game developer chooses one platform over another is reach and the ability to build a business. The Creator Growth and Economy's mission is to build the tooling that empowers Creators to grow and monetize their games.

You will lead product for the "Creator Tooling – Growth" team that empowers Creators to build and engage their audience across four product pillars:

1. Live Ops. The retention systems that turn players into durable communities.
2. Semantic Annotations. The system that converts player in-game data into structured data to be used in Discovery, Notifications, etc to pull players back into the games.
3. Marketing Hub. A tool to help Creators generate and share assets tuned to drive viral growth.
4. Creator Analytics. The signals Creators need to understand and improve their games.

An initial deliverable of this pod is the Creator monetization dashboard, a single Creator-facing surface that unifies revenue across in-world purchases, digital goods, ads, residuals, and the Bonus Fund. Building it well requires fluency in the platform systems beneath it: the digital goods catalog, inventory, and commerce infrastructure that power purchasable items across Horizon, including avatar and world economies. This role sits at the seam between Creator-facing growth tooling and the technical platform that makes Creator monetization possible.

This role is right for you if you pair demonstrated ability to define product strategy and make data-informed prioritization decisions with hands-on technical understanding of platform and commerce systems; you think in systems and flywheels; you use data to inform decisions; and you want to define how the next generation of game Creators grows and monetizes a business on Horizon.

Responsibilities
Set the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Creator growth tooling and connect it to Horizon's reach, retention, and monetization goals
* As an initial project, own the Creator monetization dashboard end to end, partnering with the Economy pod and platform teams to surface revenue across in-world purchases, digital goods, ads, and residuals. Requires working fluently with the underlying catalog, inventory, and digital commerce systems
* Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for the pod's deliverables, from problem definition through launch and iteration, taking initiatives all the way through the release cycle
* Partner with Engineering, Design, and Data Science to define requirements, make prioritization tradeoffs, and ship measurable improvements to Creator growth, retention, and earnings
* Apply deep technical knowledge of Horizon platform systems - including avatar, digital goods, and catalog/inventory architecture - to make sound build-vs-leverage decisions and move quickly with engineering partners
* Use data to form hypotheses, define success metrics, design experiments, and make evidence-based decisions about what to build and what to cut
* Build and influence cross-functional coalitions across the Economy pod, Partnerships, Marketing, Ads, and the broader Content org to deliver shared outcomes
* Develop a thorough understanding of Creators and the players they serve, translating their needs into products that increase reach, engagement, retention, and monetization

Qualifications
Experience defining, building, and shipping consumer or developer-facing products end to end
* Experience building products on a digital goods, virtual economy, avatar, or commerce platform
* Experience working with catalog, inventory, or digital commerce systems and the data that powers them
* Experience using data and experimentation (e.g., A/B testing) to drive product decisions and measure impact
* Experience leading cross-functional teams (Engineering, Design, Data Science) without direct authority
* Communication experience working across technical and non-technical partners and presenting to leadership Experience prioritizing and delivering across multiple concurrent workstreams by managing dependencies, communicating tradeoffs, and adjusting plans based on shifting priorities
* Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
* Experience with growth, user acquisition, retention, or Live Ops products
* Experience building digital goods, virtual goods, or creator monetization products
* Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
* Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
* Knowledge of Meta's Horizon and/or avatar platform systems, architecture, and digital goods catalog and inventory infrastructure
* Experience building products in gaming, creator platforms, or user-generated-content ecosystems
* Experience shipping products that incorporate AI-generated content or generative media
