The Role

The Record-to-Report (RTR) track is part of Booking Holdings’ Finance Technology and Enterprise Applications organization. The team builds and operates products that enable accurate, controlled and efficient financial accounting, reporting and period-end close across Booking Holdings.

We are looking for a Product Manager to own and evolve products supporting the accounting lifecycle, including general ledger, revenue accounting, intercompany accounting, asset accounting, treasury accounting, reconciliations, financial controls, reporting and month-end close.

The role sits at the intersection of Finance, Accounting, Product, Engineering, Data and Enterprise Technology. The Product Manager will translate complex accounting and operational needs into scalable product capabilities, while ensuring strong controls, auditability, data lineage and user experience.

Our goal is to create a standardized and intelligent RTR platform that reduces manual effort, improves financial accuracy, accelerates the close and provides Finance users with timely insight into accounting health and control risks.

What You'll Be Doing

• Define and own the product vision, strategy and roadmap for one or more RTR products or capabilities.
• Understand the needs of Accounting, Finance Operations, Controllers, Treasury Accounting, FP&A, Regional Finance and audit stakeholders.
• Translate accounting policies, business processes and control requirements into clear product requirements and scalable system solutions.
• Partner with Engineering, Enterprise Architects, Data Engineers, Analysts and implementation teams to design, build and operate products.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, risk reduction, regulatory and control requirements, user needs and technical dependencies.
• Define success measures and monitor product performance, including automation rates, reconciliation coverage, exception volumes, manual effort, close timelines, posting quality and control adherence.
• Drive discovery, process mapping, solution evaluation and end-to-end delivery from problem definition through adoption and operationalization.
• Collaborate with Finance and Technology stakeholders to establish clear system ownership, data lineage and integration boundaries across SAP, data platforms and adjacent applications.
• Lead initiatives that improve the speed, accuracy and predictability of the month-end close.
• Ensure products meet security, compliance, audit, SOX and financial-control expectations.
• Partner with global stakeholders to standardize processes and support entity onboarding, organizational change and platform transformation.
• Communicate product decisions, priorities, risks, dependencies and outcomes to senior stakeholders.
• Work closely with users during testing, rollout and adoption to ensure that solutions are usable, controlled and fit for operational needs.
• Engage with other Product Managers across Finance Technology and Booking Holdings to align platform capabilities, development priorities and long-term architecture.

What You'll Bring

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Finance Technology, Accounting Systems or a related discipline.
• Overall experience of 8+ years in IT Roles is preferred
• Experience working with financial systems, ERP platforms or enterprise accounting products; SAP S/4HANA experience is strongly preferred.
• Good understanding of Record-to-Report processes, including general ledger, journal entries, accruals, reversals, intercompany accounting, reconciliations, asset accounting or financial close.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Finance and Accounting users as well as technical stakeholders, including Engineers, Architects, Data Engineers and Analysts.
• Experience converting complex business processes and accounting requirements into clear product requirements and practical technology solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and evaluate alternative solutions.
• Ability to define meaningful product and operational metrics and use data to guide prioritization and decision-making.
• Experience working in a highly integrated enterprise environment with multiple systems, data sources, teams and dependencies.
• Understanding of financial controls, auditability, SOX requirements, data lineage and evidence management.
• Experience with reconciliation, financial reporting, workflow, automation or business intelligence products is an advantage.
• Experience working with platforms such as BlackLine, SAP Analytics Cloud, Snowflake, payment systems, treasury platforms or other Finance Technology solutions is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder-management and influencing skills, including the ability to align teams without direct authority.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with attention to product details, operational realities and delivery execution.
• Collaborative, outcome-oriented and comfortable working in a global, fast-paced environment.
• Solution-oriented and results-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
