As a Product Manager on the Capability Team within the Care Transitions business, you will be vital to our success in supporting solutions to support member who require Post-Acute Care with a goal to direct patients to the right site of care and to appropriately manage a patient's recovery plan, ultimately maximizing a patient's outcome.

In this role, you will collaborate with others to execute the vision including collect input from key stakeholders, create journey maps, develop personas, write requirements and work with our Technology partners to deliver. This position requires you to work collaboratively with many different stakeholders including Product Strategy & Design, Clinical, Operations and more. You will establish collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, understand their needs and create capability strategies that meet their business goals and objectives. As a Product Manager, you will understand the overall business strategy and be a key resource in the business to help drive the capability needs.

Key Focus Areas:

• Prioritizing initiatives and capabilities based on product value that drive to PO led Agile Scrum activities
• Driving stakeholder requirements discussions to determine who, what, when, where and why the work needs to be done
• Documenting current and future state processes
• Driving detailed requirements for business technology initiatives and capabilities
• Partner with technology teams to drive to a solution intent
• Leading stakeholder meetings
• Mentor and assist Product Owner with questions during refinement
• Drive successful tech delivery timelines using AHA and Rally
• Manage the AHA backlog
• Demonstrating curiosity to deeply understand the work being asked and prioritize accordingly to drive the most value
• Support change management and enablement activities
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies throughout the Product lifecycle
• Champion continuous improvement by soliciting feedback, analyzing outcomes, and recommending enhancements to processes and capabilities
• Gather and analyze stakeholder feedback post-implementation to measure satisfaction and inform future initiatives
• Ensure all Product initiatives comply with organizational governance, regulatory, and data privacy standards
• AI first mindset that drives enablement of AI tools forward

This position is critical for enabling successful external product delivery and/or internal business function performance. The Product Manager represents and cascades the vision and scope definition to working PO and Scrum teams, supports the prioritization and sizing of initiatives and capabilities, and ensures alignment with business strategy and new opportunities.

For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prioritize initiatives/capabilities and requirements based on product value and business impact
• Collaborate with stakeholders to capture and clarify requirements
• Document current and future state processes for business technology capabilities
• Lead and facilitate stakeholder meetings, including Agile ceremonies
• Ensure operational readiness during execution phases
• Analyze data and business models to inform prioritization and decision-making
• Act as a key liaison between cross-functional teams and operational partners
• Support the translation of business needs into actionable requirements- Resolves problems, and provides guidance to team members
• Manages tech delivery timelines and schedules of the Product requirements
• Works across product and tech delivery teams
• Support the translation of capabilities to features for the Product Owner and Scrum teams to refine
• Manages to timelines and schedules of the product requirements
• Ensure complete operational readiness during the execution phase of Implementations alongside our business stakeholders
• Work cross-functionally with teams broadly across the enterprise to engage with business resources, understand complex business models, and analyze data for performance outcomes
• Act as a key liaison between the cross functional team and operational partners
• Maintain documentation standards and templates for all program artifacts, including process flows, requirements, and executive summaries
• Establish clear escalation paths and decision rights for Product-related issues
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for Product initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Product Management and/or Product Owner experience in Agile methodology and leading stakeholder meetings
• 3+ years of experience with healthcare, managed care and/or health insurance data analysis
• Experience in developing use cases, user stories, and functional business requirements to support product solutions
• Experience in documenting requirements and business processes
• Experience influencing cross-functional partners to drive performance both in a direct and matrixed environment
• Experience developing and delivering presentations to stakeholders and executives, communicating complex data
• Experience experimenting with AI tools to increase efficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

• Agile/Scrum certification
• Experience as a Product Owners and/or experience driving backlog for Scrum teams
• Experience in developing one or more of the following: process flows, executive summaries, staffing analysis, system diagrams, and KPIs
• Knowledge of UnitedHealth care and/or Optum and/or Post-Acute Care products

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
