Job Description

At Flexcity, we help the European power system become smarter, more flexible, and more sustainable by connecting industrial assets (batteries, e-boilers, heat pumps, data centers…) to energy markets.

A subsidiary of Veolia Group, we combine the agility of a scale-up with the stability of a global leader in ecological transformation.

As we scale our 3GW portfolio across multiple European markets, we are looking for a Business Intelligence Product Manager F/H/X to structure and lead the financial and performance intelligence layer of our platform. The position is based in our Headquarter in Brussels, Belgium.

This is your opportunity to drive transformational impact during our scaling phase — shaping how performance, financial value, and market optimization are structured across the company, while building products that stabilize Europe’s grid and accelerate renewable energy integration.

As Business Intelligence Product Manager F/H/X, you will own the products that quantify, explain, and optimize the value generated by our assets across electricity markets.

You will build the intelligence backbone that drives internal decision-making, client transparency, and future commercial models.

Reporting to the Head of Product, your role is structured around three main areas:

  • Financial & Performance Product Ownership (≈60%)
    • Define and own the roadmap of Flexcity’s financial and performance intelligence products.
    • Design scalable systems that calculate the value generated by each asset across markets.
    • Structure automated settlement logic integrating client-specific contractual parameters.
    • Translate complex market mechanisms into clear and reliable financial outputs.
  • Data Infrastructure & Scalability (≈25%)
    • Work closely with engineering to design robust and scalable data pipelines and calculation engines.
    • Ensure consistency, reliability, and auditability of financial and operational metrics.
    • Anticipate future market evolutions and design products that scale with new services and countries.
  • Cross-Functional Impact & Adoption (≈15%)
    • Partner with Portfolio Managers, Finance, and Leadership to turn data into strategic decisions.
    • Drive adoption of BI tools across the organization.
    • Bring structure to product documentation, definitions, and internal processes where needed.

Qualifications

Profile

You are a Product Manager who enjoys operating at the intersection of data, finance, and system design.

You are comfortable structuring complexity and making ambiguous financial logic operational.

Technical & Product Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management in data-heavy, fintech, SaaS, or platform environments.
  • Experience owning products involving financial logic, billing, reporting, or settlement systems.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with engineers on system architecture and scalable data models.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to challenge numbers and assumptions.

Personal Qualities

  • Structured thinker who brings clarity to complex environments.
  • Comfortable taking ownership and making decisions.
  • Able to operate in a fast-scaling organization where processes are still being shaped.
  • Strong communication skills in English (French or Dutch is a plus).

Additional Information

  • HR interview (45 min) – discussion of background, motivations, and context.
  • Operational interview (1h, remote) – deep dive on the role, team, and market challenges.
  • Head of Product interview (in person) – case-based discussion and experience debrief.
  • CTO interview (30 min, remote) – alignment on technical fit and organizational impact.
