What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Partnering with design and engineering leads to define the vision for connected data and our platform for hundreds of connectors.

  • Building strong relationships with key partners and customers from small businesses to enterprises.

  • Aligning key teams across the company behind an inspiring and clear vision.

  • Tracking and measuring success against key growth, adoption, and revenue metrics.

  • Collaborating closely across functions including design, engineering, sales, marketing, and solutions engineering to deliver aligned, high-quality outputs.

You're probably a match if

  • You have 5+ years in product, with experience in developing platforms and technical products, and you’re comfortable diving into integration patterns and API design with engineers.

  • You care deeply about user outcomes and how developers can be a force multiplier for impact.

  • You have the ability to set a product strategy and vision, and you can get alignment and cross-functional partnership across a wide range of stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.

  • You balance long-term platform vision with short-term delivery, helping the team prioritize the right features and unlock early value.

  • You have strong communication and systems thinking skills, are able to connect the dots across many spaces, simplify complexity, and tailor your message for people with varying levels of technical knowledge.

  • You are impact and goals focused, with a proven history of driving discovery and engagement.

  • You thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, working together with a diverse set of stakeholders.

The Apps APIs Group is on a mission to give developers the tools to extend what’s possible in Canva and build infinite experiences that users love. We make it easy for developers to innovate on Canva, unlocking new ways for users to bring data in, create, collaborate, customize, and publish their work. Whether it’s an individual maker or a global enterprise, we enable everyone to build seamlessly into Canva’s ecosystem.

Millions of users rely on Canva every day to grow their businesses — whether it’s designing compelling ad campaigns or persuasive pitch decks. Behind every one of these is data: the images, product details, and past performance needed to generate incredible designs; the charts and infographics that bring business trends to life. In this role, you’ll lead a cross-functional team to build the tools that enable developers and work with partners like Meta and Google to inject that critical data into Canva. You’ll collaborate across the company to unlock opportunities from Canva AI to our core design suite.
