Your area of work:

Deutsche Börse Market Data + Services supports capital market participants in their digital transformation. We strive to provide our financial services clients with the information they need using state-of-the-art technology and customer-focussed distribution models. Our expertise is the provision of order-book and trade data from equity, derivatives and commodity exchanges and the creation of analytics.

As a Product Manager Data you will be identifying, developing and monetizing market data assets as well as distribution systems and the respectice data licensing framework. You will analyse the global market data business, run initiatives with the objective to extend our product offering, improve our business model and develop and maintain the business with our global partners and customers.

In addition you will be the SPOC for our Business Intelligence, which involves regular analysis of our business, client activities and the competitve landscape. Within business development, you will own the maintance and reporting of our client database and will draw respective conclusions for future business activities. You will work with our IT teams to lead and collaborativle further develop our BI framework, connecting it to relevant ERP and CRM systems and extend the visualization and use-cases via PowerBI.

You bring in-depth knowledge about market data use-cases of sell- or buy-side firms, venues or vendors and combine this with the respective analytical skills and capabilities to use and enhance our Business Intelligence framework.

Your responsibilities:

  • Product ownership for specific market, reference data and analytics products
  • Steer initiatives, projects and product enhancements, mobilizing teams and driving actions towards short and long-term business goals
  • Market analysis, creation of business cases, developing product features and pricing schemes
  • Use your project and product experience to present results and recommended actions to management, as well as detailed product features and USPs to clients
  • Maintain and extend client and usage intelligence, regularly present results in business reviews and develop recommendations for future product and business development

Your profile:

  • You have successfully completed your master’s degree in business, finance, economics or a similar field
  • You have at least 3-5 years in-depth experience of market-data use-cases within a buy-/ sell-side firm (e.g. trading, execution management/ order routing, portfolio management), an exchange or other market data provider (e.g. broker, index provider), or from a market data vendor or service provider
  • You have knowledge about recent developments and new technologies in the market data industry like cloud-adoption, latency reduction, market structure and alternative trading platforms, electronification of financial markets
  • You have strong data handling and visualization skills, including experience with business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, Qlik, Databricks)
  • You have excellent numerical and analytical skills and are able to present convincing results and recommendations to colleagues and management. Thanks to your structured and independent way of working, you are able to meet tight deadlines
  • You have very good command of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English and German
