Position Overview

Every film set, every production, every crew member who brings a story to life depends on getting paid accurately and on time. Behind that promise is a mountain of workflows, timecards, invoices, and approvals that have historically meant paper, friction, and lost time. As a Product Manager at Cast & Crew, you will help change that.

You will own a product end to end, working closely with design, engineering, and our customers to build intuitive, flexible solutions that make complex production and payroll workflows feel effortless. Your mandate is to deeply understand the people who rely on our platform every day and to build products so seamless they become the obvious choice over any alternative, including paper.

You will work at the intersection of mobile-first design, real-world production workflows, and enterprise-grade requirements. The entertainment industry spans feature films, episodic television, commercials, live events, and beyond, and you will build products that work beautifully across all of them, on every device, in every context. Cast & Crew is actively reimagining legacy processes with AI, automation, and modern mobile experiences, and you will be part of that transformation.

Core Responsibilities

• Define and own your product roadmap: Build and maintain a clear, outcome-driven roadmap that reflects a deep understanding of customer needs, business priorities, and technical opportunities, and execute against it reliably.
• Drive meaningful usability improvements: Lead a step-change in the experience of your product across mobile and desktop so that crew members, productions, and approvers can complete their work faster and with less friction than any alternative.
• Build for scale and flexibility: Deliver a product architecture and feature set that supports the full range of Cast & Crew customers and entertainment verticals without compromising the core experience.
• Stay close to the customer: Conduct ongoing discovery with productions, crew, and internal stakeholders to deeply understand workflow pain points, validate solutions early, and keep the roadmap grounded in real user needs.
• Drive cross-functional alignment: Partner effectively with Engineering, Design, Sales, and Customer Success to move quickly, communicate clearly, and deliver against shared commitments.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrates the ability to understand and articulate the impact of investments and trade-offs in product priorities on company business objectives.
• Demonstrates a track record of delivering value to customers. Knows how to get things done and can lead teams to execute consistently, rapidly, and effectively.
• Shows a deep understanding of market and competitive trends. Capable of identifying areas for differentiation to create unique, competitive offerings.
• Demonstrates strong influence without decision-making authority skills. Proven ability to align peers and stakeholders with their strategy and vision.
• Demonstrates resilience and the ability to maintain composure in ambiguous or high-pressure situations, making clear and well-informed decisions quickly.
• Demonstrates curiosity and a strong learning mindset, with a drive to deeply understand users, workflows, and the business context they operate in.
• 3 to 5 years of product management experience with enterprise or consumer SaaS products.
• Demonstrated experience owning a product roadmap end to end, from discovery through delivery.
• Strong mobile product sensibility, with experience building or improving mobile-first experiences.
• Experience conducting customer discovery and translating user research into clear product requirements.
• Experience creating AI-first or AI-assisted product solutions, or a demonstrated interest in applying AI to product workflows.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, and Customer-facing teams in an agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the entertainment, media, payroll, or fintech industry.
• Familiarity with timecard, invoicing, workforce management, or operational workflow products.
• Experience building products that serve both B2B buyers and end consumers.
• Internationalization or multi-vertical product experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or applicable field.

Special Work Conditions

• Sedentary – Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.

Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. The compensation range for this position is: $120,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year.
