Eaton’s division is currently seeking a Product Manager.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $152,000 - $199,500 a year.

What you’ll do

Job Description:

Set long-term strategic plan for product line and establish product line strategic direction utilizing market research and competitive analysis information. Establish annual profit plan objectives for the product line. Responsible for meeting top line and bottom-line objectives. Possess a general understanding of current company manufacturing technologies and rely on manufacturing engineering to stay abreast of the latest technologies. Have a broad understanding of markets and customers and work with the sales team to maintain this intelligence. Responsible for sustaining core product lines to adapt to market change or to penetrate new markets and address competitive offerings. Recommend programs and promotional activities to strengthen market position for sustained product lines. Develop, implement, and review tactical sales plans to meet annual sales volume, price, market share and operating profit objectives. Monitor product line financial and market performance, implementing responsive tactical changes as required. Maintain primary plant contact with Field Sales organization in developing sales strategies, supporting customer cultivation plans, and establishing effective communication channels between the plant and field sales organization, and develop product line value proposition tools for field sales. Evaluate product line cost reduction, modification, and process improvement recommendations from the manufacturing team for market acceptability. Hold regular documented meetings with the teams that give clear direction and priority based on a commercial perspective. Participate as a key member of a product development team through the concept, development, implementation, and market introduction for the product or product line. Responsible for printed and electronic product literature content that includes features, benefits, and performance data. Monitor performance data as part of product life cycle management. Set product pricing strategies and understand competitive market pricing for portfolio. Up to 50% international and domestic travel for customer meetings, trade shows, and internal business meetings.

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or a directly related field plus three (3) years of experience in end-to-end sourcing and supply chain strategies for product development. Experience must include:

Two (2) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • Developing business strategy, planning, and budgeting
  • Engaging in highly technical scale
  • Operating in a matrix environment leveraging appropriate resources
  • Understanding of UL and NEC codes through product training and technical sales experience
  • Market analysis and implementing strategic growth initiatives
  • Product engineering experience with UL-rated fuses and fuseholders used in global solutions and applications
  • Risk mitigation for UL-rated fuses and fuse holders
  • Close collaboration with certification agencies
  • Development of UL-rated fuses and fusible platforms
  • Program management, including new product development initiatives and introducing new processes
