Product Manager – Banking Product Strategy
Location: Novato, CA or Rancho Cordova
Department: Product / Commercial Banking
Reports To: FVP, Technology Solutions Delivery Manager
About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead product strategy across Treasury Management, Payments, Commercial Banking and Digital Banking.
This is a business-focused product leadership role, not a technical implementation position.
The bank already works with technology and vendor partners that provide much of the implementation expertise and manage the “how.” The opportunity is to strengthen the organization's focus on the “what” and the “why.”
The Product Manager will help determine:
What products and capabilities the bank should invest in
Why those investments matter to customers and the business
What customers need and are willing to adopt
How products should be priced and packaged
Where new revenue and fee income opportunities exist
How digital capabilities can increase customer engagement
How product priorities should translate into a strategic roadmap
This individual will use customer insights, market intelligence, competitive analysis and banking expertise to establish product strategy and then work across the organization to drive adoption and commercialization.
The ideal candidate is a banking product leader who understands the customer and commercial side of financial products and can turn market opportunities into actionable strategy.

Improve Digital Banking Adoption
Identify opportunities to increase digital banking adoption and customer engagement.
Evaluate digital capabilities based on customer value, utilization and business impact.
Identify barriers to adoption and recommend strategies to address them.
Partner with internal teams and vendors to translate product strategy into improved customer experiences.
Use customer and product data to identify opportunities for increased engagement.
Develop the Product Roadmap
Develop and maintain a strategic product roadmap across:

Prioritize investments based on customer needs, competitive positioning, market opportunity, revenue potential and strategic value.
The Product Manager will be expected to articulate not only what should be prioritized, but why.
Partner on Commercialization
Work closely with Sales and Treasury Management to turn product strategy into results.
Help define target customer segments and use cases.
Develop product positioning and value propositions.
Provide Sales and Treasury teams with clear guidance on how products should be positioned.
Identify opportunities for cross-sell, upsell and relationship expansion.
