At TAL, this Product Manager role is central to shaping the solutions that help Australians feel confident and protected through life’s uncertainties. By guiding a portfolio of market-leading Group Life products and driving their evolution, you’ll play a key role in delivering value for customers and partners, while strengthening lasting relationships. Your work will directly support TAL’s purpose of protecting people, not just policies—offering a meaningful opportunity to make a real impact on the financial wellbeing and security of millions of Australians.

In This Role You Will:

  • Shape and execute product portfolio strategies to sustain competitiveness and growth
  • Deliver clear, compliant product documentation that builds trust with partners and customers
  • Negotiate and secure commercial agreements that maximise value and strengthen partnerships
  • Leverage market insights to position TAL products strongly against competitors
  • Drive continuous product enhancements to improve customer outcomes and retention
  • Ensure regulatory compliance across products while effectively leading change and influencing stakeholders
  • Deliver engaging workshops and training that build product knowledge and partner confidence

Qualifications

  • Understanding of life insurance products, including application of terms, conditions and pricing principles
  • Tertiary qualification in law, finance, commerce, business and/or related disciplines preferred but not essential
  • Strong analytical capability to interpret data, solve problems and inform decisions
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including structured documentation and presentations
  • High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in outcomes
  • Relationship-building and stakeholder influence skills to support shared goals
  • Strong organisation and time management, with the ability to prioritise effectively
