Global product manager, L-IVAC
The position is based at Nilfisk in Hadsund in Denmark within a team of other global product managers handling Nilfisk’s portfolio of high-pressure washers and vacuum cleaners.
The position is 1 out of 2 that is responsible for the light industrial vacuum cleaner range and will be working closely with the other global product manager placed in Hadsund.
Both global product managers work in close collaboration with the LIVAC business unit, which drives the business across three Nilfisk sales regions as well as private label business. From a sales perspective, the EMEA region and private label business are the dominant contributors.
The position involves close cooperation with Nilfisk’s R&D centre in Hadsund, Denmark, and the R&D centre in Nagy.
The open position will focus on value creation within global product management, with key responsibilities including:
Acting as global product manager in NSD projects, ensuring superior customer value in line with portfolio targets
Day-to-day variant management
Private label customer coordination
Lifecycle management, phase-outs, cost optimization to ensure a competitive & profitable portfolio.
Playing a strong role in developing a market-driven portfolio by understanding, identifying, analysing, and translating customer needs into portfolio processes.
Supply chain and production alignment
This role works in close cooperation with the other LIVAC global product manager, whose primary focus is portfolio management for the LIVAC range.
The position is reporting to SVP Vac & HPW product line Esben Graff.
Further, the position includes, but are not limited to:
Work across a wide range of disciplines – e.g., project execution with R&D and Marketing, product strategy and launch planning, innovation, and portfolio roadmap with related strategic initiatives.
Manage product range and lifecycle management within own product category and segment to reach business targets – e.g., define and maintain business cases, new variant creation, manage in-/out-phasing of products and market communication.
Develop and maintain portfolio for private label customers.
provide expertise on products and solutions to Sales and Marketing team and support in preparation of technical and marketing documents.
Be a part of collecting market research and customer insights to analyse and formulate customer pain points into new solutions, features, and benefits.
Candidate type:
An analytical & structured problem-solver with a technical and commercial mindset
Imagine that as the ideal candidate, you have a 3-5 of years of experience within product development, product sales or product management in an international company. Ideally, you have worked with a technical and physical product in B-2-B, and you have interest in diving into the details of products.
Ability to handle many tasks simultaneously while maintaining focus and a positive attitude also in times of heavy workload.
Ability to balance working hands-on to execute and deliver on your own projects as well as being able to think long-term to establish the future strategies and plans for growth.
Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Capability and willingness to travel as needed (10-20 days per year)
