Job Description

  • Section 1: Position Summary

Under the direction oftheProduct Lead(for a particular business, segment, or capability set),the Senior Product Managerwilldrivethe development of theproduct vision and roadmap for theproducts, features, and/or capabilities they are assignedTheindividual is expected towork with a great deal of autonomy and independence,be a subject matter expertregardingexisting capabilities,have acomprehensive understanding of our competitive positioning, and partner closely with Product Owners and scrum teamsregardingroadmap execution

Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Product vision and roadmapclear articulation of the objectivesof the assigned product, feature, and/or capability set and the path towards achieving them

    • Developthe product vision for the applicable capabilities– with a focus on the outcomes we are trying to deliver

    • Lead the development of roadmaps for the capability set in partnership with design,technologyand scrum teams

    • Partner with sales and marketing to translate our roadmap into an external message that allows for “selling futures”

    • Stay abreast of industry and competitor dynamics – including our positioningrelativeto key competitors

    • Identifynew opportunities and areas of differentiation and growth

    Client experiencedeepunderstanding of themanner in whichthe target audience engages with us and a continued focus on intuitive and delightful interactionsthat considertheir entire journey

    • Define and own theend to endview of the customer journey and their comprehensive set of interactions

    • Partner with the design/UX team to develop a plan for engagement with customers andgatheringtheir feedbackregardinghigh value interactions

    • Oversee customer research and engagement for gathering feedback anddeterminingproduct requirements

    • Relentless focus on customerease of use throughidentifyingand resolving their key problems

    Maximize the value of assigned products,featuresand/or capabilitiespartner with the Product Lead to maximizethe value of the capability set acrossthe business

    • Establish and manage key metrics and measures of success for the capability setand take responsibility for delivery against goals

    • Partner with segment leaders and other shared services to drive adoption of capabilities acrossourclient base

    • Create and/or enhance documentation for internal and external audiences thatdemonstratesour comprehensive offering

    • Serve as theinternal and externalsubject matter expert for the applicableproduct, feature, and/orcapabilityset

    Roadmap development and executionpartner closely with product owners and scrum teams,regardingroadmap development – with a particular focus on data driven decisioning andoutcomes basedroadmaps

    • Lead the development of roadmaps for theproduct, feature, and/orcapability set in partnership with design,technologyand scrum teams

    • Partner closely with Product Owners and scrum teams to translate client insights, desired outcomes, and business problems intooptimalroadmaps

Section 3:

  • Skills/Capabilities

    • Demonstrated ability to create a compelling product vision – including, key measures of success

    • Experience owning and driving productroadmapsand knowledge of Agile product development methodologies and practices

    • Strong leadership skills – including managing direct reports and driving results through other groups

    • Demonstrated ability tooperateand create results with limited oversight

    • Excellent communication & influencing skills– with the ability to lead diverse groups to consensus

    • Strong stakeholder management; able to partner acrossbusiness segments

    • An effective team player, who can work with people at all levels

    • High levelof self-motivation, with strong integrity & ethics

    • Highly organized with the ability to effectivelyprioritizekey issuesand deliverables

    Experience

    • A minimum of 5-7 yearsof product experience expertise isrequiredin Retirement or Wealth Management, orFinancial Services.

    • Expertiseimplementing experiences across Web, Mobile, and Cross-channel Interoperability.

    • Deep understanding of the retirement industry and competitive dynamics

The national average salary range for this role is  $130-150k in base pay, exclusive of any bonuses and benefits. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salary offered will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, performance, and internal pay alignment.
