Job Description

Be part of a team that unleashes the power of leading-edge technologies to help improve the health and well-being of those most vulnerable in our country and communities. Working at Gainwell carries its rewards. You’ll have an incredible opportunity to grow your career in a company that values work flexibility, learning, and career development. You’ll add to your technical credentials and certifications while enjoying a generous, flexible vacation policy and educational assistance. We also have comprehensive leadership and technical development academies to help build your skills and capabilities.

The Product Manager for AI in claims configuration ensures the product team is aligned around outcomes rather than simply delivering requirements. The role maintains strong communication and alignment across cross‑functional partners, articulates strategy and progress with clarity, and fosters an environment where the team can operate with autonomy while remaining connected to company goals, regulatory constraints, and operational realities.

The Product Manager is ultimately responsible for the product’s results—driving customer adoption, value creation, efficiency improvements, and business performance across the claims adjudication portfolio. This role monitors product performance, evaluates impact, learns from results, and adjusts strategy as needed. The Product Manager also contributes to continuous improvement of product practices, discovery methods, and team processes across the organization.

Your role in our mission

The Product Manager serves as a leader among the product team, responsible for delivering solutions that meet client needs and that meet the needs of the business. This role is accountable for identifying the most important customer problems within the claims adjudication space, understanding the surrounding business and operational constraints, and shaping a clear product vision that guides the team toward meaningful outcomes. Takes accountability and responsibility for defining value, KPIs, the why and the what of product features and functions delivered to the product delivery teams. Partners with internal operations teams including configuration teams, claims operations, provider and member operations and mailroom functions to define problems to be solved, deliver acceptance criteria, defined value proposition and priorities to the product teams. Studies industry trends in the claims adjudication and tangential systems to assist in evaluation of build v. buy decisions, defining product canvas, monitoring compliance trends and requirements, and continuously driving this context for the product teams. Gathers and facilitates requirements gathering, defining output, success criteria and leads data analysis necessary to support product success measurements.

What we're looking for

  • 12 or more years of experience in product management, software development, technical support, or consulting
  • Experience with product systems design principles
  • Experience assessing client business and technology requirements and working with company software and hardware products and services
  • Strong skills in product development methodologies such as vision and strategy, business area architecture, iterative custom development, package based development or accelerated application development
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance and prioritize work
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
    • Medicaid and/or healthcare industry claims adjudication, configuration and processing experience

  • Fully Remote Opportunity
  • Opportunities to travel through your work (0-10%)

    Note
