We are seeking a Product Manager in our Penang office. The ideal candidate owns the product portfolio by driving lifecycle, profitability, and roadmap to deliver customer-focused solutions and accelerate time-to-market through strategic leadership.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Define and execute on product lifecycle activities for VAT's ADV Valves product series.
  • Implement value pricing and value propositions for customer requests
  • Provide technical product support to sales teams and customers
  • Prepare profitability analyses and relentlessly drive down cost
  • Coordinate simultaneous developments of multiple product solutions according to customer requests and product roadmap.
  • Initiate product relocations and ensure associated customer approval
  • Cooperate with all BU’s of VAT to take advantage of synergies in product offering to ADV customers
  • Identify market trends and technical roadmaps of customers to derive needs for adaptation of VAT’s product offering
  • Support the sales entities of VAT group in product training, customer acquisition and product presentations
  • Establish technical customer documentation like manuals and product data sheets according to applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • At least a Bachelor's Degree in sciences or engineering. A Master degree in relevant sciene or engineering field is preferred.
  • Additional degree in economics and / or marketing or successful record of accomplishment in a commercial position.
  • A good know how of mechanical and electrical systems and/or vacuum experience is preferred.
  • Strong experience in managing international customers and projects on a global scale.
  • Powerful entrepreneur mindset and startegic thinking.
  • Ability to identify market developments and derive requirements that influence the future valve business.
  • Experience in product management is preferred.
  • 5 -10 years experience in relevant field.
  • Fluent in English (speaking and writing), strong communication skills and the ability to negotiate.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin language is an added advantage to work with China customers.
