Job Description

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree (preferably in IT-related, Marketing or Commerce)
  • MBA (preferred)
  • 5+ years experience working as a Product Manager, or Product Owner
  • Experience working with Development teams using agile methodology
  • Exposure into the Africa landscape preferred
  • A passion for technology and the large picture of how it can impact the continent
  • A passion for inclusion in technology and how language can facilitate that
  • Leadership capacity
  • Strategic thinking
  • User empathy
  • Superb articulation and communication capabilities
  • Customer-facing experience
  • Experience in a Technology Company

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the product vision and roadmap
  • Deeply understand our customers needs and challenges
  • Explore and analyse the competition globally to build product strategy
  • Create epics and user stories for new products and enhancements to existing products
  • Approve the product readiness prior to launch (UAT)
  • Document and communicate newly released features to stakeholders and provide training where required
  • Align and communicate with internal stakeholders, partners, and providers
  • Coordinate product releases with marketing, sales, operations, and development team
  • Gather feedback from customers, partners, and stakeholders
  • Understand the African payment market
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and players
