Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease.

This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of established ‘best-in-class’ Endovascular products. You will be required to partner with the sales team to implement short- and long-term strategic marketing plans and drive customer training and education programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement short and long-term strategic marketing plans / new product launch plans, objectives and tactics that lead to maintain market leadership in Endovascular products.

  • Develop Key Opinion Leaders within Endovascular

  • Collaborate with the Sales team to conduct targeted market development in key markets.

  • Identify and outline strategic customer activities/engagement and develop integrated marketing plans across F2F and digital platforms.

  • Maintain a high knowledge of the scientific and technical differences between Abbott and competitor products and ensure the Sales Force has a strong working knowledge.

  • Build short and long-term plans based on a solid understanding of the competitive marketplace to support Strategic Plan and Operating Plan

  • Effectively manage the aspects of product forecasting, inventory and expiry.

  • Partner with the sales force in the preparation and submission of tenders.

  • You may be required to work outside of your ordinary hours of work to participate in essential training, team meetings, customer events or trade shows/conferences. These events may take place on an evening and/or weekend.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing

  • Minimum 3 years in a Marketing role, with at least 1-2 years in Product Management

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong presentation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts.

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.

  • Willingness to accept challenging assignments and engage in relevant developmental activities in a change environment.

  • MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and familiarity with web-based applications

Desirable

  • Medical devices industry experience is highly advantageous; open to nutrition, pharma and OTC (healthcare / beauty) experience.

  • Proven experience in execution of HCP segmentation in omnichannel strategy will be advantageous.

  • Proven experience in driving innovative and differentiation in a highly competitive category will be advantageous.
