Product Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
The PM will be the sourcing champion in the country and replenishment support. The PM will actively support the commercial in the country in their sales and development efforts through the following key functions:
1. Portfolio Risk Management - establish risk mitigation strategy to alleviate as many risks from the product portfolio as possible to avoid negative impact to the business, particularly a catastrophic one.
2. Portfolio Optimization – establish strategy to enhance the most cost-effective manner to oversee the portfolio such as achieving profit with lower cost input, achieving profit with lower risk, etc.
3. Portfolio Performance Improve – establish strategy to improve the portfolio to achieve the organizational goal, i.e., KPIs such as sustainable volume and gross profit growth.
4. Cultivation of suppliers - establish authentic business collaboration, promoting our unique value-added competencies to secure products at competitive prices.
5. Supplier management – lead sourcing negotiations, cost reduction and cost containment, quality discussions.
6. Portfolio Stewardship - ensure compliance to all safety and relevant regulatory requirement.
7. Product portfolio market intelligence insight – lead the commercial on supply and demand, pricing trends, and pricing guidelines.
8. Inventory management - ensure timeliness of replenishment and mitigate the minimum threshold of inventory to meet customers’ expectations and corporate working capital.
9. Develop strategy to grow the core product portfolio. Working closely with the regional product line manager to explore products that can be scaled across countries.
