The incumbent will lead the end to end strategy from design to implementation, portfolio management and risk governance for the wealth lending solutions to Private and Priority Banking clients, across Lombard securities-backed financing. partner closely with RMs, Investment & Banca product teams, Risk, Credit, Legal, Compliance, Tech, Digital, Marketing teams to deliver client-centric and commercially viable solutions ensure prudent risk management, regulatory compliance to BNM and alignment to Bank’s strategic wealth growth proposition drive digital lending initiatives and innovation in lending processes to improve client experience
Product Strategy & Growth
Execute the Wealth Lending strategy across the various customer segments of the Bank, to align with the RWM wealth priorities.
Build the pipelines with RMs, Team Heads, Segment Heads on monetization strategies grow the clients’ wallet share, cross sell investment / banca products, increase AUM stickiness
Lead discussions on pricing framework, product marketing and ongoing client / sales engagement
Product Management
Manage and enhance wealth lending products, incorporating Sales feedback and market insights.
Run portfolio tactical campaigns to drive adoption of lending solutions and cross sell opportunities
Monitor market trends and competitor offerings to identify product enhancement opportunities
Digitise processes front to back, by working with Tech, Channels, Credit, Risk, Legal and Compliance to seek opportunities to improve efficiency, client experience, turnaround times and risk monitoring.
Drive both the Phase 2 of tactical system solution and the long term strategic core lending system solution to see to its implementation.
Manage system requirements, functional specs and participate in the system, process design, UAT to ensure system readiness for launch of the tactical & strategic wealth lending solutions.
Monitor loan book to track portfolio performance and identify areas of potential risks / growth opportunities
Work closely with Sales, Credit and Risk teams to uphold portfolio quality
Conduct review of the lending framework for robustness and market relevancy
Business Enablement & Training
Be on the ground to engage RMs, THs, Area Managers, RCGMs to increase penetration on wealth lending products
Track penetration across centres / regions.
Provide training and guidance to RMs to strengthen frontline credit knowledge
Develop product collaterals and sales tools to support business growth.
Collaborate with key stakeholders (Credit, Risk, Operations, Compliance, Distribution) for alignment and seamless execution
Portfolio Management
Responsible for the P&L of the Wealth Lending portfolio in Malaysia (SMF, ODUT, Portfolio Financing) by growing the loan book and optimizing the loan yields, utilization and risk adjusted returns.
Monitor portfolio concentrations, counterparty exposures, collateral quality.
Oversee the investment financing framework, marginable lists, haircuts on marketable securities and identify critical gaps with call to action to close the gaps.
Risk & Governance
Ensure ongoing compliance with BNM regulatory requirements, cross-border rules, booking policies and Bank’s credit risk appetite.
Work with Risk on periodic stress test / scenarios, and early alert triggers
Participate in WSPC, PRAC, MCC to present product development / enhancements, deals, exceptions, structured lending solutions
Job Requirements:
Malaysian citizen
Minimum Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business Studies or Marketing.
Min 8 years of relevant experience in banking and financial institutions, particularly in wealth management, investment and insurance product management, wealth lending and financing areas.
