The Impact You Will Have in This Role

The Executive Director, Head of Securities Financing Transactions (SFT) Clearing, will lead DTCC's Securities Financing Transaction (SFT) Clearing business with end-to-end accountability for strategy, product development, commercial growth, client engagement, operational performance, and talent leadership. This leader will define the future vision for DTCC's securities financing franchise, driving innovation and market adoption while ensuring the platform continues to deliver resiliency, capital efficiency, risk reduction, and operational value to market participants.

This role requires a leader with deep expertise in securities lending, securities finance, central clearing, and post-trade market infrastructure. The successful candidate will serve as DTCC's senior representative to clients, regulators, industry associations, and market participants, while building and leading a high-performing team responsible for developing and delivering the next generation of securities financing solutions.

The Executive Director will be accountable for business growth, product strategy, client satisfaction, financial performance, and market influence, partnering closely with Technology, Operations, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory Relations, Finance, Sales, Relationship Management, and Marketing to deliver innovative solutions that address evolving client and industry needs.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

Business Leadership & Strategy

• Own the SFT business strategy, operating plan, financial performance, investment priorities, and executive reporting.
• Develop and execute a multi-year vision for DTCC’s securities financing solutions aligned with CSS and enterprise strategic priorities.
• Identify emerging market opportunities arising from balance sheet optimization, capital efficiency, collateral management, central clearing initiatives, regulatory developments, and evolving securities financial market structures.
• Build and maintain business cases supporting investment decisions, platform expansion, and new product development.
• Establish success metrics for revenue growth, client adoption, market penetration, client satisfaction, resiliency, and operational performance.

Product & Platform Leadership

• Define and own the product roadmap for SFT Clearing and related securities financing solutions.
• Translate market needs, client feedback, industry trends, and competitive intelligence into actionable product strategies and business requirements.
• Prioritize investments across new capabilities, participant onboarding enhancements, automation, reporting, collateral management functionality, corporate actions processing, and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Partner with Technology and Operations to prioritize enhancements, define business requirements, oversee delivery, and ensure production readiness and service quality.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and client-centric design.

Client, Market & Industry Leadership

• Serve as DTCC’s senior ambassador for securities financing and securities lending solutions.
• Build trusted relationships with existing clients, prospects, industry associations, and market participants to engaging with, define and articulate the value proposition and strategic direction of SFT Clearing.
• Partner with Sales and Relationship Management to build the opportunity pipeline, shape commercial strategies, support executive-level client engagements, and convert market interest into sustainable adoption.
• Oversee the full client lifecycle, including solution design, due diligence, onboarding, testing, implementation, launch readiness, and post-launch support.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

• Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team of product managers, business experts, and market structure professionals.
• Establish clear accountability, succession planning, career development pathways, and performance expectations.
• Create an environment that encourages innovation, collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
• Mentor future leaders and foster subject matter expertise across the organization.
• Build organizational capabilities necessary to support future business growth and platform evolution.

Stakeholder, Risk, & Governance Management

• Build strong partnerships across Product, Technology, Operations, Sales, Client Services, Risk, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory Relations, and Marketing to align priorities and resolve issues.
• Maintain effective governance over strategy, investments, delivery, controls, incidents, dependencies, and escalations, providing clear and timely updates to senior leadership.
• Ensure the business operates in accordance with applicable rules, policies, risk tolerances, control standards, and regulatory expectations.
• Anticipate market, operational, technology, credit, liquidity, legal, and regulatory risks; drive timely mitigation and informed executive decision-making.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of leadership experience in securities finance, securities lending, repo, collateral management, market infrastructure, clearing, or related capital markets disciplines.
• Deep understanding of securities financing transaction markets, including securities lending participants, operating models, collateral practices, central clearing, novation, netting, margin methodologies, post-trade processing, and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience leading a business, product portfolio, or financial market infrastructure platform with accountability for strategy, commercial outcomes, financial performance, and execution.
• Demonstrated success building and executing growth strategies that increased client adoption, market penetration, and revenue.
• Proven ability to hire, develop, motivate, and lead high-performing teams within complex financial market organizations.
• Strong executive presence with experience engaging senior client executives, regulators, industry organizations, and internal leadership teams.
• Experience influencing industry standards, market structure initiatives, or regulatory developments preferred.
• Track record of delivering large-scale, technology-enabled solutions in highly regulated, high-availability environments.
• Strong analytical, financial, and strategic planning capabilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
