Linde is seeking a Product Manager – Competitive Strategy to develop and execute competitive strategies across the US Merchant market. This role will lead competitive insights, align pricing strategy, and manage key commercial agreements—including Swaps, Purchased Product, and Sales Agreements—while partnering closely with Product Management, Commercial teams, and Regional Business Units to deliver both long‑term strategic goals and day‑to‑day tactical needs.

Other Duties Include:

  • Formulate, maintain, and refine Linde’s Competitive Strategy across product lines and geographies.

  • Lead negotiations for Swap Agreements, Purchased Product Deals, and Sales Agreements.

  • Partner with Product Management to align competitive strategy with broader portfolio goals.

  • Work closely with Regional Business Units to execute strategy while meeting daily tactical needs. Including invoice validation and end of month accruals.

  • Review public and Linde internal information to provide competitive intelligence and analysis to leadership.

  • Develop deep understanding of competitor behaviors, cost structures, and capabilities.

  • Support tools, dashboards, and processes for tracking sourcing agreements.

  • Act as internal subject matter expert on competitor commercial activities.

  • Liaise across Supply, Operations, Procurement, and Commercial teams for alignment.

Scope:

Commercial Influence: Broad influence across Product Management and RBUs.

Agreements Managed: Swaps, Purchased Product, Sales Agreements.

Pricing Impact: Direct involvement in pricing accuracy and governance.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or related field.

  • 10+ years’ experience in Product Management, Sales, Logistics, or Strategy.

  • Strong understanding of industrial gases markets and contract negotiation.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Strong analytical capabilities and experience with pricing or commercial strategy.
